I think it would depend on the time of day, if it is in the evening the beach is pretty empty.

Our wedding is at 2pm so I'm guessing it would be a little crowded. The Reef Terrace is pretty and I'm a little intrigued by the pier but FI made a good point about nervous (or maybe anxious is a better word) hands combined with wedding rings on a pier. That wouldn't be a good start to the marriage!!

Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL!! I am excited to read your review! Did you use the photographer at the resort at all or did you hire one outside?

Hi Miss Heather,

It actually ended up being 50 people booked at the resort and 64 people total attended the wedding.  It is easier to have everyone on the resort because then they can  be included in everything with out an additional charge and having to deal with guest passes etc.

Our wedding wasn't expensive at all! But I wanted it to be simple and for everyone to have a good time.  The price really depends on how elaborate you want everything.  Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hi Missheather,

Sandals is a great choice for your wedding! The Martha Stewart Beautiful Beginnings wedding package is free at most of the resorts if you book a minimum of 6 nights accommodations in certain room categories.  The wedding coordinators at the resort take care of everything for you. There are basic elements that are chosen prior to your arrival at the resort. Once you arrive there you meet with a wedding planner and confirm everything. Simple, inexpensive, (just the cost of your vacation unless you choose extra items) and great fun!  Let me know if I can assist futher.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
