Wedding Guestbooks/ Wedding Photo Album

My sister did a book and it was a little off I think too. I used a template and customized the template and it turn out perfect. The Front and back and spine are all customizable and you can get your book in soft cover or hard cover. With their books you have to have a minimum amount of pages so that they can bind it properly or else they just leave the pages blank at the end, which worked out OK for my book because it was a gift for another bride of her bachelorette party and we all signed the back pages so it was kind of a good thing for that. It's a pretty good site though it tells you if you have enough pages and so forth.

I'm wondering how the pages print out - the company I use now for my books prints the pages off kilter and I get white around the edges of my page, which I can't seem to avoid.

Also, are the front and back covers and the spine customizable as well?

It definitely looks like a great resource!!

I placed a Mixbook order recently.  I ordered a hard copy of my boudoir shoot and 2 soft copies of a family vacation.  I honestly like the soft back copies better.  I plan to use Mixbook for the wedding albus for our parents and will see how the hard cover holds up over the next few months.  Stay tuned...

Oh and thanks for the tippr offer!  LOVE THESE!

So, I got my Mixbook in the mail today and I have to say that I am a little disappointed.  The black printing on the front and back cover has some fairly noticeable lines through it, like the printer was running low on black ink when it was made.  Also, all of the pages look like they were cut off a little bit on the top, but the bottom looks exactly like it did on the sample online.  Wouldn't be too bit a deal, but on one page I had writing that is now partially cutoff, and that looks pretty bad.  Also, they way you have to do at least 20 pages, but with 20 there is a blank one, so you have to do 21 and pay extra was a little annoying, and then the last page they keep blank to put their logo on it.  I'm not sure I remember seeing anything about that on the website.  Just thought I'd share my opinion.  I'm probably using Shutterfly for my BD book, just waiting for the photographer to send me my proofs.  I'll let you know my thoughts on the quality of that when I receive it (although I'm doing a softcover for that one)

Thanks for the review, fmichelle. You should try letting customer service know about your disappointment. I have a feeling they'd try to make it right for you. I had a similar experience with shutterfly and they re-printed my order for no charge.

Francine, I would definitely tell them. They will probably send you a reprint. I think I'm accidentally going to end up with two copies of all the books I've ordered. I got a small soft cover from snapfish that apparently had an error so they sent another one. I ordered my BD book from shutterfly and it took longer than expected so they sent a replacement. The day after, FI received the original in the mail. So I'm 4 for 2 right now. ha ha.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
