Iberostar Punta Cana

Recommended Posts

Hey Darren,

I am getting married at Iberostar Punta Cana.

I just returned from a trip visiting both the Ibero PC and Bavaro (side by side) and decided on Iberostar PC. They are basically the same. They are both five star, high-end resorts (I know as I'm stayed at several Iberostars all over--best service EVER) and they are well-renowned for this very thing. You can use all three resorts together.

The pricing for wedding packages and add-ons (live band, dj, flowers) is better at Ibero PC, not to mention, the staff is a HECK of a lot better than at Ibero Bav. (i.e. Friendlier).

It's also more cost-effective for your out of town guests as Bav costs a lil more per night.

Darren,

I just came back from visiting both Ibero complexes and honestly, there is not a big difiference. Iberostar Bavaro charges more and their day passes cost more, and cake. I did'nt like that at all.

The wedding coordinator at Iberostar Punta Cana was much more helpful and really took her time showing me everything. She said she could set up anything I wanted prior to my guests arriving, etc.

If you have any questions, just write me an email :)cheer2.gif

Thanks for the replies from those who have actually been there. We're having issues getting any wedding package pricing from Iberostar Punta Cana or Bavaro. Sunscape was on top of it but it seems much more difficult to find the information for the Iberostars and our TA is pretty useless. Sounds like something should be booked this week regardless as my FI is beginning to be quite stressed over this decision.smile41.gif

Hi ladies,

My fiance and I are planning a vacation to the Iberostar Bavaro in Punta Cana from Feb 23-Mar 1, 2008. Since we are staying at the Bavaro, we will have use of the other 2 Iberostar resorts. If I can do anything to help you (ie, take pics of gazebos, reception locations, etc) while we are there, please let me know!

Best wishes!

Elizabeth

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
