When we stayed at Sandals Whitehouse last March we did the horseback ocean ride. The ride to and from the ocean was not very exciting. Basically you go about a mile down a dirt road to the ocean and go the same way back..but going in the ocean on horseback and swimming with the horses was really awesome and made it worth every penny. : )  Hoping to go to Dunn's River when we go back to Jamaica.

We just decided tonight we want to do Dunns. It looks like so much fun. We are doing the ATV's and Buggies to. I think we may need a vacation from the excursions. Do you know if they have parasailing there?

The Iberostar does have parasailing. Its for a cost tho and i do think its pretty expensive but I 100% know they have it! I am sure I sound like a broken record but the ONE excursion you HAVE to do in my opinion is the dreamer catamaran! I did it the last two times I was in Jamaica and it was amazing! I can not wait to do it with all of my friends and family!

Where to begin...We did so many excursions and loved them all!!!

Mayfield Falls- this is a must if you want to see a waterfall.  We were able to swim in the falls and go under the rocks through to the next fall, jump off small cliffs, and it was not at all crowded! We heard Dunns was over crowded and you didn't even get to go in the water. This is only about 30 minutes from Montego Bay.

Ricks Cafe- Best sunset we saw the entire time.  We even jumped off the 50 foot cliff the day before our wedding.  What a rush!

7 mile beach- Beautiful white sandy beaches this was in combo with going to Rick's cafe.  It was a day trip and we also got to do about an hour of shopping so this was fun for all.

Zip Line (chukka)- 9 ziplines through the jungle if you do this bring your camera.  We were told not to but I wish I did since the pictures they took were over priced and not good.

Horseback Riding- LOVED THIS! we went up in the mountains, saw a village, and went in the ocean on the horse.  This was amazing, something that we have never done :)

Dreamer Catamaran- Beautiful sunset and views.  Crew was very nice and an overall fun time.

We were going to do the ATV but changed our mind at the last minute.  We saw it while we were on the horse and they had to stay in single file lines and go very slow.   If you want to go fast then you are better off doing this at home since they really keep an eye on you.

Sounds great!! What tour companies did you go through for these excursions?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
