I haven't decided on any of the excursions yet either! There are so many to pick from. I was watching the Travel Channel and they went on the Blue Mountain coffee tour and it looked really cool(if you like coffee). They also did the Falls as well, but i went to the Falls a few years ago and wasn't very impressed. It's so crowded that you almost lose the natural beauty.

good luck!

I was wondering this as well, one of my bridesmaids will have her birthday down there and has always been in love with dolphins, so I was considering the dolphin swim and taking her as her present, has anyone done this? I haven't talked to one person who said they liked going to the falls (unless they went super early for TTD when no one was there), I'm up for anything though

I have to be honest, after seeing the movie The Cove it made me rethink the idea of swimming with the dolphins(I have done it before as a child). They are wild animals and meant to live freely in the ocean. Another idea might be to take her on a sunset cruise, where in Jamaica you are likely to enjoy dolphins in their beautiful, natural environment. whatever you choose to do, i am sure your BM will be thankful that you thought of something special for her.

I agree with J , with the cost of the reception dinner, OOT bags etc...I would like to SUGGEST several options for guests without necessarily paying for them. I will be doing, horseback riding, ziplining, Mystic Mountain (the amusement park), ATV Safari, etc.

Here are a few suggestions from my TA who is fantastic,BTW. They were further confirmed by my girlfriend, a Jamaican native:-)

1. A nice after-wedding event would be a therapeutic, scenic and romantic river raft ride on the Martha Brae, approx $89.00 per person.

2. Another nice option is Island Vibes Dunn's River Cruise at $80.00 per person. This includes admission to climb Dunns River Falls.

3. Bob Marley 9-Mile Tour

I am also a Jamaican native, but sometime I worry about my guest especially since there are going to be so many of them who have never been there.  I think I will just make suggestions and after the wedding who ever wants to go we can go.  But I am not going to take on the expense of paying for this either.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
