What made your OOT bags unique and special for your guests??

Recommended Posts

Great thread, made me realize how "un-original" the OOT bags items we were thinking are.  I just keep reminding myself our guests aren't on BDW all the time and probably have never even heard of an OOT bag!!!!   Keep the unique idea coming

Every time I do a vistaprint order I get the same personalized pen, notebook, keychain and notepad. Then I've been getting tshirts for the guests, I figure we'll do one day of the week where everyone gets together somewhere with their tshirts on for a group photo.

I've also gotten a personalized temporary tattoo design done by Buttonhead on etsy. My fiancee (and his best man) are tattoo lovers (which is why I'm making them wear long sleeves for a DW embarrassed.gif) and my fiancee also loves pirates, skulls, stuff like that, so we got a little cartoon design of the two of us decked out like pirates.. lol - but you can get a 'classic tattoo' design as well, I got em through buttonhead on etsy.

Oh, and if you guys want to do any kind of personalized flasks or stuff like that.. before you go through the wedding sites, check out eBay! We got personalized flasks done for $7.99 plus shipping, but three lines of personalization included

Yeah, I think a lot of time you have to think outside the box - wedding sites are not the only source.

I wish I knew about the personalized tattoos sooner - I ordered some temp blue butterflies for my "something blue" but would have loved to do something unique.

Those are some great ideas!! I like the ideas of adding games to the bags, like cards or beach paddles. I am all about borrowing ideas from all of you so thank you! :)

This is not really in the oot bag as much as something for the women attending our ceremony. We are ordering all white pashminas and getting each ladies names embroidered on them. These will be hanging over the back of the chairs at the ceremony for each lady. I thought it would look very elegant and I can control where everybody sits haha!!

So many great ideas!! But.... I do see a lot of "beachy" ideas. What about us city gals? :)

I'd love to hear some unique OOT bag ideas for a wedding in San Francisco.

So far, all I have is:

~Pashmina (Anybody who knows SF, knows it gets chilly in the evenings any time of year!)

~Small bag of peanuts and small bag of cracker jacks (We have a small baseball theme going... GO GIANTS!)

~Band-aids, hand sanitizer, lotion

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
