that's an awesome idea

We had 140 guests, so this was tough. But for less than $10/bag, we ended up having:

  • large canvas beach bags from Oriental Trading Company with handmade "Gracias" tags with our logo on the back
  • One Corona and one lime per person in custom Koozies, plus an original "Corona and Lime" welcome poem
  • a handmade bracelet (a friendship bracelet in our colors made by our niece) honoring a loved one who is no longer with us
  • Mexican candy (from the Gigante in Cabo)  in clear palm tree bags from Oriental Trading Company
  • Different bags filled with squirt guns, pool toys, and candy for the kids.

WISH we had remembered the itinerary to put in the bag!  People were asking for one all weekend.

Here are pics of some of the stuff (all pics from Alec and T. -- www.alecandt.com)

Thanks for the information!!! I was looking on the website and saw lots of ideas (cute little sunscreen packages) but i noticed when looking that it listed (for a few things) bulk prices (with the lowest bulk number at 500) were you able to buy only a few cozies? or is there a minimum? I will also have to check if they ship to canada... i have looked at other sites and got excited only to discover they dont ship it here:( I hope so becasue they have some great stuff!! Thanks again!!

This stuff is great!  The bracelet is very sweet and thoughtful.  I love the Corona & Lime idea!  Did you buy the Corona in Mexico before you got to the resort?  I'd like to do something along those lines, but I'm worried about the amount of time needed to land, get the beer, get to the hotel, put together the bags and distribute them all within hours of getting there. Lol makes me tired just thinking of it wacko.gif  Any tips would be great!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
