Well I hope the plans are still going great, and you are enjoying your wedding planning.  If there is anything we here in Playa Del Carmen can do for you just let us know.   Oh and great story.  Love is found in the strangest of places.  Makes me think of a quote I once heard...

Someone Once Asked Me,

"What Do You See In Him?"
My Reply?
"Everything You Don't."

So COOL!! CONGRATS!!

When I read your post the FIRST thing that popped into my head was a really cool slide show I saw of a Catholic/Indian wedding I saw on here! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/67467/del-sol-s-indian-catholic-wedding-pics-at-barcelo It was so unique! What do you and your FI plan on doing for your ceremony?

Make sure you look at Del Sol's Wiki http:// http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/wiki/del-sol-photography-slideshows-riviera-maya . This helped me pick a location and resort. There are thousands of beautiful pictures of weddings and resorts. You guys sound like such a cute couple and I know you will have a beautiful wedding no matter where you end up having it!

We recently posted a link to Excellence Resorts in the Riveira maya, just something to check out if you get a chance as well:  http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.132569333485812.31901.115044671904945

OH, we also have a SICK promotion at Le Reve, read here: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/73510/del-sol-photography-la-luna-photography-hotel-lereve-bdwf-promotion

Also,  if your digging around for a beach wedding, I want to recommend barefoot Jewelry for destination weddings too...  Chelsea is one of our past brides...cool gal.  we just ordered a set for some of our shoots, stoked to get the photos edited and online soon!   anyway, happy planning, glad to have been of service to you with our WIKI... would love to hear if you picked a resort and what it is.

saludos,

matt

Yes I have definitely changed my mind. We have decided to go with Hacienda Tres Rios Resort in Playa Del Carmen, MX for early September 2012. I will have the Catholic Ceremony at Secret Jewel and the Hindu ceremony at the resort. We want to have Yazmin De La Mora as our planner and Del Sol as our photogs! We plan to book most things next month and you guys come August/September. I am so excited. We stayed at Le Reve during our recent trip and although I agree it is insanely beautiful (ahem Bungalow Suite) it was a bit too relaxed and quiet for what we are looking to provide for our wedding guests, some of whom will be there first time to Mexico or even leaving the U.S.! Hacienda pretty much has it all! BTW Melissa (yes I have been in talks with her) told me about an upcoming Hindu/Catholic wedding in September of THIS year! I am looking forward to those photos as well.

Thanks for the tips Matt. I canâ€t wait to have SICK wedding photos from you guys.

Thanks celticgirl. I love Jamaica. To be honest, if I hadn't gone there for a good friend's wedding in Negril, I probably would have had my wedding there...although had I not attended that wedding I may not have known how beautiful Jamaica is. Which part of Jamaica are you planning?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
