Suzzane Morel...is she really worth it!

Hi Girls, I'm getting married in May and I'm having a pretty big wedding weekend (because I'm combining two ceremonies over the course of three days and haveing another special event) and will need a hair & makeup person both days. I've been told Suzzane Morel is the go-to person, but she's so expensive! Plus she requires that I have a minimum of 4 services per day in order to have the artist come to my hotel to get me ready. Is that right?? Considering I'm having 5 services over the course of 3 days it seems a little unreasonable that she won't provide me with a hair and make-up artist to come to my hotel. My question is...is she really worth it?? let me know PLEASE!

Hi! It sounds like you are going to have so much fun! Are you staying at a hotel in Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo? If you're in Cabo San Lucas, I would go to their salon for a "hair and makeup trial" (less expensive) for your first day and then have her team come on the second day for the rest of the services. The 4 "services" can include bridesmaids, MOBs and MOGs too, so keep that in mind. I convinced my MIL and MOB to get their hair and makeup done... that's four right there! Just a thought. She is expensive but I hear she's awesome. My photographer works with them almost exclusively -- go to alecandt.com for pictures. Everyone looks amazing.

Hi, I don't think that is very fair!  I was going to use Suzanne and then i decided she was too expensive especially when she doesn't do yur hair and make up herself.  I have now booked Neysa Berman who charges about the same for hair and make up and less for mani/pedi and she comes with a team of girls if needed but does the brides hair and make up herself.  Neysa has published work and is a MAC trained make up artist.  Have a look at her website, i couldn't be happier with her so far she always replies to my emails with 24 hours.

I sure hope shes worth it because i have her booked Her work is amazing from her portfolio and she is so sweet and easy to work with! I am a hair stylist myself so i know that i will be extremely picky about my hair & make up which is why i decided to splurge a bit and go with Suzanne Morel . I am getting married April 7 so i'll post picture when i get back so you can see her work

I used SM for my wedding (for myself, BM's and moms--for both hair & make up).  My overall grade woud be a B-......It was ok work but not great.  The majority of the time SM does not do hair/make up herself or even go to the wedding site the day of the service.  A group of staff is assigned to you depending on the size of your group.  I am not saying they did a horrible job, but could have been a lot better...especially for the price.

Hello~

I recently got married at the Cabo Azul resort in San Jose Del Cabo. It was beautiful! The resort is absolutely gorgeous, the staff is incredibly friendly and the chapel is amazing but, what made it all come together for me was Neysa. I just want to express how thrilled I was to have her do my hair and makeup for the big day. From the day I first emailed her to the actual wedding day, she was wonderful to work with! My emails were answered within a day and she arrived on time and ready to listen to my ideas on both the trial session and the wedding day. I asked for some drama as my dress was not your typical 'beachy' attire. I couldn't have been more happy as the result worked out perfectly with the look I was going for. I have had several comments, both on the wedding day and from pictures, about how great my makeup looked but the most important thing was that I felt amazing!! The next time I'm in Mexico I will find a reason to hire her again:) Thank you Neysa for helping make our wedding day perfect!

SilverQueen, I'm so excited that you posted this. After my horrible experience coordinating with SM I asked her to let me out of my contract and decided to book Neysa. So far my experience with Neysa and her staff has been wonderful! They are responsive, so nice and most importantly willing to work with me, and not make me feel like I'm just another bride. I'm sooo glad to hear that you had a great experience with her. I will keep you girls posted as to the overall experience.

Hello everyone, i just got married in cabo this past march and i hired neysa berman from blanc salon to do my hair and makeup, she could not do my hair and makeup for the wedding because she was already booked for another wedding the day of my wedding but instead she sent a girl named Sunset to take her place. I am soooo happy with Sunset, from the moment she came to my hotel room for the trial i knew she was the perfect person to do my hair and makeup. Sunset did a great job on my pin up inspired wedding look, she listened to me and executed everything i had asked for. Neysa did my hair and makeup for my trash the dress shoot and she was also very good. Over all i am very happy with their services and most important neysa communicates any changes and replies to any questions quickly and will not leave you hanging. Hope the review is helpful
