Sunset Beach Resort & Spa - past and future brides, please post here!

Recommended Posts

Hiya,  I have booked the sunset beach resort as a last minute deal for me, OH and dd (16years).

I am just about to book an upgraded room and have realised we could get a free wedding, which as we were planning a very quiet wedding next year would be perfect.  I wouldn't need any extra's and wouldn't want a fuss just a quick ceremony for the 2 of us with dd there.  I wouldn't want a reception or a party afterwards, we would just go to the yacht club for a meal or something.

Does anyone know if this is possible when I go in 9 weeks? I notice that everyone else books a year in advance so I am doubting it will be possible.  I dont want to email the hotel and look really stupid lol!

Thanks for reading

I think I just brought it all with me. I had my bridesmaid carry it on their flights and just paid the 2nd bag fee for them.  I also weighed them to make sure they weren't overweight.

Hello all- I'm new to this site and have been fishing around for a few weeks trying to settle on the perfect resort. I have not secured a date yet (due to my indecisiveness) but now I think I'm leaning towards Sunset Beach October 2014 . After reading all the threads and reviews, which by the way were oh so helpful, the only thing that seems to be missing is reviews about entertainment that the resort offers. (I.e Grand Palladium has a beach BBQ every Friday night w/ DJ) For the past brides, was there any resort entertainment, parties, clubs at Sunset? :punk:

Hi Ladies...I wanted to know if anyone had any issues with their documentation....did you only have to bring notarized copies of the your documents or did you have to get them certified as well...I just to want to be sure I don't have any hiccups when I get there...also how long did it take for you to actually receive your marriage certificate...thanks...have a blessed one

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
