Sunset Beach Resort & Spa - past and future brides, please post here!

Ok so I have been looking around on this for forum for a while I have posted only one time..so it time to come out... "I'm coming out I want the world to know" So my wedding is @ sunset beach resort in mo'bay JA on Decmeber 31 2011. Yeah a new years eve wedding!!!!! I have been booked there since august of last year and it is drawing near... I have been to the site and as purple unicorn said it is fantastic....it has a water park and many restaurant.... The gazebo is beautiful and a great lawn for cocktail hour..... Natalie the wedding planner is amazing... There was one there before name Sade, but she sucked big time....the hotel made the best decision with Natalie.... I am having a 150 guest...mainly because I am originally from JA...so a lot of family still resides there.....my wedding is so customized with a lot of entertainment.....big tall centerpiece.....to everything a bride could dream of....Natalie really got me and I am pleased with my future wedding so far...I will definitely keep you guys posted if you want...I will even post pictures if u want of my future wedding....

so weird, when i first read your post, i was like "how can you say you haven;t posted on here, i remember you asking me questions!!"  then i remembered you asked me only in PMs!  so glad you finally "came out"  LOL.   And WOW, i can't believe your wedding will be 150 people, that is massive for a DW!!! I can't even picture where you will all sit for dinner! but it seems like you are doing a cocktail thing on the grass.  i can see everyone fitting there, but not where i had my dinner at the Beach Inn area.  I totally cannot wait to see how your wedding turns out, i will be checking back, so YES i want you to post your pics!!!!

Yes I remember I was asking you about your hair...in PM and you helped me a lot with that...not so worried anymore about my hair....for now we are doing a cocktail party....so far it is 150 but it is DW so numbers can change.....!!!!

yes it can, i definitely learned that. i had an intimate wedding of 17, but at one point - based on what people were telling me - i thought i would have over 40!  one thing i learned is don't count anyone as a definitely attendee until they BOOK!

yah I know Im dealing with that now. I told everyone if theyre not booked 45 days out when i have to give the deposit thats it. I dont want to pay for people who dont show. I told everyone in January I think thats plenty of time.

hello ladies i was just wondering what you both are doing/did for a photographer? have you seen the work or quotes for the resort photographer?

i am not using the resort photographer..I am using a guy name gary which is a local. he worked within my budget....i seen his work and it is good...the resort have three packages that i looked into when i first decided to book....i have copied there price here:

Basic Edit (Footage of ceremony, signing register, cutting cake, and first dance) - $320.00

Deluxe Edit (Pre-wedding shots, photo montage, plus full coverage of reception) - $600.00

Video taping(Each additional hour) - $100.00 per hour

Edited Copies of DVD (each) - $100.00 per copy.

I Do ( 24 '5x7' prints, 6 '8x10' prints, 30 digital images on CD) - $650.00

Love & Cherish ( 36 '5x7' prints, 6 '8x10' prints, 42 digital images on CD & a basic Edit DVD) - $1,100.00

Together Forever ( 36 '5x7' prints, 6 '8x10' prints, 42 digital images of said prints on CD & a Deluxe Edit DVD) - $1, 350.00

what is the name of the guy you are using. If you dont mind me asking what is your budget and does that include the $250 fee to bring a vendor onto site?

See what i wrote on page 2 of this thread, post #12 about the vendor fee.  Basically, i brought in my own outside photographer and did NOT pay the $250 vendor fee!
