Girl's Day Out Help

The day before the wedding all the guys are going deep-sea fishing - super easy to plan.  For our girls' day I'm having issues!  I had found a wonderful "cultural" tour via boat, but they said they end in May and start back up in December - wedding is in June.  It would have been perfect - hula lessons, lei making, Hawaiian food lunch buffet all in one place.  Sadly, it's not to be.  Beach day too boring, shopping blah, spa we can do any where and researching them most of those packages cost more then the rent of my last apartment! Although, my MOH and I want to do a lomi lomi massage before the wedding - any suggestions there would help too!

Most of the ladies accompanying would not be into an adventure day or a water day. . .We could do the hula lessons at the Waikiki Plaza, but then what?  That's only an hour. . .any ideas from ladies that have been there before?  Like I need one more thing to plan for!!!  HELP!

Try this website: www.hawaiiplanner.com  It's a tours and activities site that American Express runs.  I talked to them yesterday because they are located inside the Hilton Hawaiian village also, and we are trying to plan a snorkeling trip to Hanauma bay with 60-80 people coming over for my daughter's wedding.  They only use reputable vendors and they make sure that all these companies keep their insurance up to date etc.  There is a ton to choose from!

I'm having the exact same issues. Boys are deep sea fishing and we are doing hula lessons followed by lunch. Still, want to find something else to do. Cocktails by the pool are always fun, but it would be nice to have an actual activity! I'd love to do a hike or walk, but not everyone is outdoorsy...

I've got my bridesmaids onto it, so I will let you know if they come up with anything!!!!

Just an FYI Aikane is one of the only deep sea fishing places on Oahu that lets you keep your catch.  That was a big thing for Fi.  He was pretty upset when we read all catches are property of the boat.  So, he did research to find that one.

I really want to do Hula lessons, but what else?  I found this that I'm strongly leaning towards. . .It's on the North Shore where I originally wanted the ceremony, but Fi vetoed:  Kualoa Ranch BEAUTIFUL well, at least from the pictures and stories I've heard lol  You can read here for a description of each of the tours listed.  I think we're doing the hula lessons and the Ocean Voyaging tours:

Half-Day Kualoa Experience (morning)

Includes two 1-Hour Tours & Buffet Lunch: Your choice (2) of: Movie Sites & Ranch, Jungle Expedition, Ocean Voyaging, Secret Island (includes Ocean Voyaging Tour and counts as two 1-hour tours), Ancient Fishpond & Gardens, Legends & Legacy, and Hula Lessons. Also includes buffet lunch, discounts on additional same-day tour purchases and is an approximately 7-hour experience door to door from Waikīkī.

  • ADULT $59.00 (plus 4.712% tax. Optional transport from & to WaikÄ«kÄ«, add $10.00 when booking)
  • Child 3-12 $39.00 (plus 4.712% tax. Optional transport from & to WaikÄ«kÄ«, add $10.00 when booking)
  •  Child (2 and under, no activities) FREE!

lol Tink, I told my Fi we're having practically the same wedding experience just a month apart!  We're also going on Nahoku 2 after our girls/guys day!  Only it'll be just the two of us.  We wanted something to do without everyone else around so we can kinda focus on us right before the wedding.

That is too funny!! Really nice idea to do it just the two of you. The week leading up is going to be hectic. Especially with friends and family - so many people to see. I won't have seen my family for one and a half years :-( CAN'T FREAKING WAIT :) :) :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
