Anti-Chair Sash - Ideas?

I am not a "bow" type of girl and am looking for alternatives to the chair sash piece of fabric that ties in a bow. Does anyone have any ideas or has seen alternative ideas? I don't know what style of chairs I will have at the resort yet but I do know the AHR has the standard round top banquet chairs. All ideas are appreciated - even as a jumping off point! I hate the white cover and bows too, i'm just going to rent out the tiffany gold chairs. Adds such elegance.

I totally agree.  I have been thinking of tying the sash alternatively and using a brooch.

I've seen nice pictures of the fabric tied to a starfish or shell, or something else that ties in with the wedding theme

I'm also looking for inexpensive alternatives to chair covers and sashes. Any thoughts?

What about pinning something to the back of the chairs?  As long as it's not too heavy, you could pin something that matches your theme.  Almost like a boutonniere but bigger, and pinned so that it doesn't droop forward.  Go for color, if you're having white chair covers...maybe a spiky palm leaf with a flower on top?

I agree! I hate the bows. Love the starfish, but then that's bringing more supplies....more luggage.

I think pinning something to the chair could work, like a Starfish or flower garlands, or mini bunting.
