Recommended Posts

Ok..so there's a reason why I hate Math....I suck!..lol Anyway, I'm trying to book a hall for my BFF's Bridal Shower. I hate to have to limit her to a total of 25 people. But I don't think I could afford anymore. I did the math but I think I did it wrong. I'm the worst at this someone please help me. I would love to do 40 people but I think that would be too much. Hmmmmm.....Again, someone please help me figure this out.

The Restaurant states on it's website the following along with the menu,

Banquet Luch Package

Served from 11 am to 3 pm

Package Includes
Home made bread, unlimited soft drinks, coffee and tea.

$23.75 Per Person
Please add 7% tax and 20% gratuity

For 25 people....???

For 35 People..???

THANK YOU SO..SO..MUCH IN ADVANCE IF YOU CAN HELP ME!!!!!!

Ok, working in the restaurant business from time to time may have helped me with this :o)  You have to multiply the tax and gratuity seperately because you cannot tax gratuity and you can't get gratuity from tax (if that makes ANY sense!?!)  Hope this helps!?  These are the numbers I came up with:

25 people -- $593.75 + 41.56 (tax) + 118.75 (gratuity) = $754.06

35 people -- 831.25 + 58.19 (tax) + 166.25 (gratuity) = $1055.69

I think it is AMAZING of you to host something like this and I think she will appreciate and understand whatever you can do!

I am not the best at math either but the total for 40 people is looking to be around $1200.

Do you have to do it at a hall?  My bridesmaids are throwing mine at one of their houses and I know it will be much cheaper than that.

I have also thrown two bridal showers, both in my parents backyard and they turned out great plus it was more intimate.

Just a thought...  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
