Toiinlove so you're the one who took our original wedding date lol. We had originally wanted 9.10., but was told it was taken, so we opted for 9.9 instead. Nice to meet you girlie! We're also arriving on the 6th to set up our temporary Jamaican residency. I'm so happy & excited! Time is going to fly from now until then. What have you done so far such as dress shopping, looking for a photographer, etc? Congrats!

Congrats bmadzia1! I feel good to know that there are Sept brides. Everyone seems to be getting married in summer months or prior.

Sorry ladies, I was so happy to find out 9.10.11 was open. Time is starting to fly now. At first it was barely moving and it seemed like I could not plan anything because the date was to far. Now, I am rushing to do everything. So far I have my photographer Ivan Luckie  who is flying in from Mexico. He is on this site. I also have a videographer who is coming in from Mexico. ( I do not like the images from digipix)

I sent out my save the dates back in October and I will be designing the invitations, programs, and menus with Rebecca from Allurements by Rebecca in February. I do not have my dress yet because I waiting to see how much weight I can lose. I am awaiting quotes from Tai Flora for the decorations. I just ordered the aisle runner because I want to have the ceremony on the staircase. I have the luggage tags done and send those out once people book their rooms. I have designed the pre-travel brochure and waiting for that to come in the mail. And I have a few thing for the welcome bags: hand sanitizer, post cards, and wrist-lets.

With all of this done, there still is so much to do. A lot of my planning depends on how many people come. I do not want to order things and not have enough or to much.

What have you done so far.

Congrats girls and cant wait to see you in September!!!

I just realized you wrote that you're getting married at the Grand on 9.10. So that means you're not the bride who's getting married at the Suites on 9.10. Nonetheless it'll be a good weekend for all of us! :-)

I am not in September, but I am getting married May 7th,2011 in Little Bay, Jamaica! It is so exciting to see other brides-to-be choose Jamaica as their destination as well! I just booked Misha Earle for my photography. Coral Cove Resort does all the rest of the planning, so now I am just having fun shopping for beach clothes! :) Good luck with the planning ladies!

 Hello September Brides!

Our date is 7th September 2011 and we are doing a private villa ceremony & reception but still need to secure a wedding planner.

This is prooving more difficult than I thought it would be. I am english, husband to be jamaican so at least we have his family over there to do some research for us.

Any of you using an independent planner?
