I really enjoyed this video http://www.hungryforchange.tv/

It shows you how counterproductive traditional diets are and how important it is to get in the habit of natural clean eating.  If your looking for some good recipes try these books  "the Best of Clean Eating" and "Quinoa THE EVERYDAY SUPERFOOD 365" I found both of these books at Costco.

I am recently addicited to Zumba for a fun way to get your cardio add weighed gloves for a more effective workout.  Weight training is so important!  The more muscle you have the higher your metabolic rate and the more calories you burn when you are resting!

Good luck and happy planning!

After 2 failed attempts I still managed to hit the gym after dinner. I need this week to go right and me hitting the gym at least 2 more times. I upped my water intake this weekend. And made a smoothie after my work out for a snack. And some additional for breakfast in the morning. All I need to do is stay focused and not loose a determination.

I am so glad I found this thread!  I joined WW a year ago and lost 30 lbs and have kept it off.  I exercise 5-6 days a week, but I got a little lax with my eating habits and have not broken through my plateau.  Only 6-10 lbs more to lose to be at goal, but toning will be my next focus.  After reading all these posts, I think I mapped out my next set of exercises...start with the 30 day shred, then couch to 5K during the summer and ending with Insanity!  Bikini Body, here I come!!!  :)

The Bar Method is amazing.  I teach something very similar and its wonderful for building long, lean muscles!

If you don't have the Bar Method near you there is also Booty Barre, The Daily Method, Pure Barre  (I can't seem to think of anymore off the top of my head)  but all are built off the same principle of using ballet, pilates and yoga so strengthen and lengthen muscles.

I love it so much better than killing myself in the gym which is what I was doing before I found out about it. I go 3-5 times a week which is what they say is best for results. It is the first time I have EVER liked a workout and actually look forward to going to. Check it out to see if there is a studio where you live and if there isn't they have videos you can buy. I can't wait to see my results this time next year which is right before my April 2013 wedding. Good luck to everyone!

I am getting my ring resized next week. I have been wearing a guard since our engagement because the ring was too big to begin with it. They make permanent round balls as guards which I here are more comfortable than the standard bar one. I do not like the bar guard because it always loosens and rolls around my ring, lol.

What do you teach? I am familiar with Pure Barre also, but they do not have one in St. Louis, MO.

I actually just took my engagement ring in yesterday to get resized.  It originally came as a size 7, but I needed an 8.5 when we got engaged. It is so loose on me now I can't wear it at all, so it is getting sized to a 7.5  I have lost 25 lbs so far, and I don't think my ring finger will ever be smaller than a 7.5, so I feel pretty good about the decision to get it size right now.  Plus, our wedding is in 2 months in Jamaica and I don't want to risk loosing it b/c it is too big.

If anyone wants to be part of a good workout program, see if your area has a Kosama, it is amazing!

I went and had the little balls placed on the inside of my ring. It felt weird at first, but now I never even notice it. If something happens, they can remove the balls without damaging the ring. I ordered my wedding band down a size, and will have the 2 rings tacked together (since it's a custom set).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
