I wish I had found this thread earlier since we are almost 6 weeks out from the wedding (less than 6 weeks before we leave though!)

While I was working toward losing that ubiquitous "last 5 lbs", my main goal was to tone up what I'm working with!  My fiance and I decided to register for the Chicago Marathon last month so that's been a nice motivator in addition to the wedding.  We've been going to the gym regularly since the beginning of the year, and while I've lost maybe 2-3 lbs, I definitely feel better and healthier...which is more important, right?? :)

BTW, it frustrates me how much faster my fiance is able to build up endurance - I could be running more regularly than him but he can still run faster and longer!  Boo!

Happy exercising!

I totally know what you mean.  My FI and I are doing INSANITY and he just shapes up so much quicker, endurance and muscle wise.  We took a 2 week hiatus and are now back at it and his pants are already falling off of him :(  So unfair!!!  HA!!!

Good luck with the marathon!!!

Down 12 pounds in 7 weeks thanks to weight watchers!! In January we finished gutting and remodeling our new house....wedding planning, eating right, exercising and not drinking took a waaaaay back seat! I gained like 10 pounds just in that time! Signing up for a race always helps me...the nice weather and wedding on the horizon will hopefully amp up the weight loss!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
