Hey ladies, Since the begining of January, I have managed to lose 10 pounds. I have basically just worked on eating better (less fat, sugar, salt, more veggies and fruit) and have gone to the gym to work on cardio and weights atleast 3 times a week.

When I met my fiance I was 150 pounds and had just lost 50 in the previous 6 months. Since we have gotten together I have become way to comfortable and we have both gained weight.

I can't believe that my dreams are coming true and I will be getting married in mexico. I need to step it up and lose that 40 pounds I have gained back after all my hard work.

So getting on track with eating healthy has been a big challenge. I've been reading Oxygen(women's fitness) magazine they have great receipes that are healty and tasty so I don't feel so deprived their sister magazine is called Clean Eating there are some great recipes in there as well, so you may want to check that out. Oxygen also has simple at home exercise routines that help burn fat and sculpt your body plus the pictures and stories keep me motivated.

Well I'm taking that as good luck if we're getting married on your anniversary. You're actually the 2nd person today that has told me that and I'm taking it as a good sign!

You know what? You can do it and you have all of us brides cheering you on!

I've read Oxygen magazine but I usually pick up Shape and I love reading the stories too of women that have been able to achieve their goals. I'll check out Clean Eating for sure for some recipes. I too don't want to deprive myself and I just got to do more portion control. I have some yoga dvd's that I just need to dust off so on the days I can't make it to the gym, I can do something at home.

I see you're getting married at Dreams Palm Beach; my sister was there in October and she really loved it!

I echo the comments on Jillian Michaels...she is a tough woman! But the workouts are amazing. Good luck everyone!

Congrats on your weight loss! And only 7lbs shy at that...such a great accomplishment.cheer2.gif I can only hope to have an ounce of your determination to reach my goal. All the best to you on your upcoming wedding!!

It helps for me to just read and watch weight loss shows. I especially like the last 10 lbs and all those other Slice network weight loss shows. They motivate me to get up right that moment and start working out. The hardest part is these Canadian winters and not wanting to get in the car and get out to the gym.

Just came back from an intense 1 hour and 30 min workout. 30 min elliptical and 1 hour bootcamp. The bootcamp was brutal, my arms were jello halfway through and I pretended to do my pushups and was hoping no one was looking :( lol I now realize I have no upper body strength to speak of. I think I might buy 5lb weights to practice at home. Yes, I said only 5lbs! once again embaressed :(

  • 2 weeks later...

P90X is awesome. You just have to be sure to stick with it. I wasn't the best at sticking with p90x because by the end of the day, I'd be so tired. But then I started using Advocare which has helped me sooooooo much. I have lots more energy and the Catalyst is like lipo in a bottle (ok not quite, but it does help a lot with toning). But when you use Advocare and work out, you get more muscle definition out of your workout. www.AdvoCare.com/110916315. I use the MNS 3 package and love it. Hope this helps!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
