I have the portion control under control - so to speak!  Lots of fresh fruits and veggies.  I just need to find the time to hit the gym.  I have been working 10-12 hour days and it is just wearing me out and making it difficult to find the time and energy to exercise.  Ugh.   sad.gif

I am doing the beachbody Brazilian butt lift workouts. Anyone try them?  Its only for a month then I am going to start P90x again since that will take me to right when I leave. Today was an off day so I just hit the treadmill & got a great workout in this morning! Heres what I did if anyone is interested in mixing it up:

Start on the treadmill by walking at a high incline 15% four mph for five minutes. Then lower the elevation to zero and run five minutes. Alternate these for 30 minutes. I did this the other day for 60 & felt like I was going to die. Its tough but recommend it!   Also at lunch today I went out with the co-workers. I brought my chicken & veggies in so I was going to eat that when we came back. Of course we went to a bar & everyone got beer and wings but ME. I sat there & ordered extra celery from their wing orders & an iceed tea! ;) Whats the point of killing myself & waking up early just to eat a chicken wing?!?    Keep it up ladies! The weekends are always harder but we can do it!  smile67.gif

Brenners, Most people probably wouldn't have the energy or motivation to hit the gym after a 10-12 hour day! At least it sounds like your sticking to a good eating plan, and that's more than half the battle!!!

Sharon, I would love to hear about your results after the Brazilian butt lift workouts, that is totally something I may want to try as my butt is my most stubborn area!

Hello 2012 brides! I recently got married in December and I was an avid follower of the Weight Loss 2011 Thread. I just wanted to let you know that this site helped me immensely to get my butt in gear and work out even when I didn't feel like it! I am so thankful to have found that thread, it's not easy to motivate yourself but when there is others and they are going through the same stuff that you are .. it helps. I started January 2011 .. with a goal to get fit and lose weight and I did just that. I have never in my life been this fit .. EVER .. I have been skinnier but not in shape.. this makes a huge difference! I didn't starve myself and I followed my exercise program to a tee ... working out 3 to 4 days a week .. sometimes more and sometimes less .. and I reached my goal 2 months before the wedding. Good luck in achieving your goals and here a before and after picture that I also posted on the 2011 thread.

So I am quickly approaching my 7 month mark!  YAY!  However, the holidays where not so kind to my waistline!  So its time!  Today is day one back on the Abs diet!  I love this diet last time I was on it I lost 10 lbs in a 2 week period!  I do not have to starve I actually have to eat 6 times a day!  And I there are no gross diet foods!  Just health living!  For example today I started off my day with one of their smoothie recipes!  They sound not so good, but they taste great!  After breakfast I get a snack today I choose unlimited baby carrots and low fat string cheese.  Next up is lunch!  I am going to have a turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread with lite mayo lettuce tomatoe, and turkey bacon, an apple, and 1% milk.  Then I get another snack after lunch I packed a V8 and a bag of almonds.  Then since I am working a 12 hour shift today and I was running late I just made a second turkey sandwich of dinner (usually I would have a chicken salad if at work, but today I just did not have time!) and then after diner I get another snack which I have packed peanut butter, and celery sticks.  I am telling you ladies I love this diet and there are no gross diet foods!  The fist week there are no work outs so once I get to week two I will let everyone know how my work outs go this time around!

Anyone else out there doing the Abs diet I would love to hear from you!

Thanks,

Jamie

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
