Evening ladies!

I'm slowly getting back on the exercise wagon (was in a car accident 3 months ago and had to take it easy). So I'm just riding my bike right now. I tried P90X in the past and it was tough - I know it would be too high impact for my back now (boo injuries). How high impact is the Jillian Michaels Shred that everyone is talking about? From what I'm seeing its only a 30 min workout? Unfortunately I haven't been able to shape up for my first dress outing in 10 days :( however I do have 9 1/2 months until the big day so I have time :)

Hey Ladies :)

January 2012 bride, yay!

I have Jillian MIchael's shred, I'm a little scared to try it though! I've been doing her yoga meltdown, and I find that to be a good workout on its own!

I'm not trying to lose a set amount of weight, as much as tone up and such.  Winter is so cold, I got a little complacent, and the last two weeks have been birthday/company/eating out and lots like crazy, and I'm starting to notice the effects.  Not as young and high metabolism as I used to be!

All the best to everyone who is keeping on the wagon, I know I lack motivation hard.  It's finally nice and warm here, so I'm going to attempt riding my bike to work, hopefully that will also help!

Hi ladies:)

I can't believe I haven't seen this thread before today!!

My wedding is next April-- so I have 11 months to go.. I just bought my wedding dress (its a beautiful Maggie that I am absolutely in love with!) It's not that I want to lose weight-- ten lbs at most.. I have a tiny waist but being Greek have very wide hips and I would like to tone up and slim down a little.. Not so much to look better in my dress but in those little bikinis I plan on being in!

The biggest obstacle standing between me and the me I want to be is that I love food.. and oh yeah hate exercising=/ My sister is also "dieting" but she's one of those girls that complains she's fat and you just wanna throw something at her because if she lost even one lb she'd completely disappear:)~ LOL. But right now she's my diet buddy-- but still it's not the same.. I just have this idea of what I want to look like..I know it's a life style change and not just some crash diet...

I am glad I found you girls.. Keep your success stories coming because they truly are inspirational!

Depending on your fitness level... Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred, I would recommend it to anyone at any level and do what you can and build yourself up, it truly is an awesome video and will give you results. P90 I recommend if you are in the middle of being active, but not totally fit. I'm doing P90 as my warm up to P90X, I didn't feel totally ready for the X. Another good video that I like and got great results from is Hip Hop Abs. If you haven't noticed I have a thing for beachbody. You can check it out at www.beachbody.com, they have a lot of great fitness videos, etc. The biggest thing that I can stress to people trying to lose weight is that 70% of weight loss is what you eat. I noticed the weight started dropping when I changed my diet and I slowly changed it so it wasn't a shock to me and so I wouldn't give up and quit. With the workout videos I do try to go for walks/jogs 3 times a week also to bump up my cardio. Hope some of this is helpful and if you have anymore questions let me know!!! Hope you will love Jillian Michaels as much I do, it's a great buy!!!

Great! thank you that does help! There are just so many I can't decide! I will definetly be doing P90x- but I will probably do that sometime next year-closer to my wedding (Dont have a date set- but looking at Nov 2012- so I have a while!)  I will totally check out the beach body website! That was my problem- I love food! And everyone I work with is always snacking and always ordering food.  I stopped ordering food and stopped keeping junk food in my desk drawers and I lost 3 pounds.  Moderation and wathcing what you eat is key! I need to start running again as well- I don't like running- which is funny because I was a soccer player in high school! :) Thanks again for the tips kya!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
