May 25, 2012!  I work out for like 3 weeks at a time and completely fall off the bandwagon.  I just need a plan I can stick with and hopefully someone to help me stay motivated.  My FI is such a workout-aholic that I don't like to exercise with him!  I'm hoping my 2 local bridesmaids who work out will allow me to tag along until i get into a routine.

4 week weigh-in!!!! I lost 6 lbs and 3 inches!!!! Cannot believe it!!!! Way better than I expected... watching what I eat and a new exercise routine has really kicked started my butt again!!!! I am loving Hip Hop Abs... definitely noticing my mid-section is getting better... no where near where I want to be, but closer at least!!! I was wondering if anyone has tried Turbo Jam... I'm thinking that might be my next 90 day run and save P90X for the last 90 day run. Lets keep it up Ladies!!!

Hi ladies,

Congrats to all of you on your upcoming weddings and for being so motivated to get in better shape.

I have also been fairly big my entire life, the largest I got to was 217.8 back in 2009, I knew that this was completely unacceptable and something had to change. I started on weight watchers online and working out 4-6 days a week during lunch hours at my local YMCA, it took me about a year to drop a little over 50 lbs from my 5'10" frame. This is the smallest I've been since elementary school *note, I was this tall by grade 7! I have kept it off for a year now and have been slacking a bit on the workouts but have kept with my healthy eating habits (no longer on WW though- I use fatsecret.com for calorie counting). Needless to say, I am wanting to shed these last 15-20 lbs so that I look my very best at my wedding... and hopefully get to wear a bikini for the first time in my life.

Since the new years I have been very motivated and have dropped 4lbs. I am wanting to be around 150 so I still have around 15 lbs to go. Need to vamp up my workouts (spinning, running and bodyblast classes generally) and I have even signed up for a mini triathlon in June for breast cancer (women only) to keep me motivated! The mini-tri is a 300m swim, 12km bike and 3.3km run. I am also toying with idea of taking up kick-boxing :)

Good luck to all of you, keep motivated and be strong! Every time you think of eating something you shouldn't or are feeling lazy then just remind yourself how much more important it is to you to feel beautiful and healthy not only on your special day but every day.

I felt the same way when I first bought it. I've had the DVDs since last February, but it was too hard back then... I felt like an
idiot. I actually started doing it in December and once you do it for a week or so, you get the hang of it pretty quickly and then you can really step it up. The best part is that you're at home where no one can see you ;) so it doesn't matter what you look like. The results have surprised me so I'm going to keep up with it for the next 60 days!!!

I want to look into this Hip Hop Abs thing, but i am a TERRIBLE dancer (think: Elaine Bennis from Seinfeld- terrible), I'll probably look like a crazy person flopping around the living room LOL but it would be worth it!

FI is always home so I need to find him a hobby so he'll get out for a half-hour while I spasm around the living room. Otherwise he'll sit there and giggle at me! LOL glad you're getting good results, I'm def going to look into this.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
