Yay!!!! I'm very excited to have found this thread!!! I have been dieting and exercising for a year now after having had my son (Sept. 2009). I had gained so much weight and was about 30lbs over weight prepreggo. Ouch :( It has been hard work, but I seriously believe that if I can do it... anyone can. I was so lazy and had the worst sweet tooth prior to getting pregnant. I had to take it day by day and slowly make life changes. Doing things all at once never helped me... I always got overwhelmed or sick of it and would quit. I started doing Tony Horton's 10 Minute Trainer, I started out doing one 10 minute session a day and then gradually added more so I was doing 3 sessions a day, 5 times a week. I started keeping a diary of what I was eating... everything... right down to the hand full of m&ms. I found keeping the diary made me think twice about eating something unhealthy, just in case my FI or family members saw it :) I do believe starting out slowly and gradually increasing my workouts has made all the difference for me. To date I have lost 51 lbs. My goals now are to tone up and KEEP IT OFF... so scared to gain it back in the next year before the wedding sad.gif  I really want to look good in a bikini! Hoping to keep each other motivated!!! Keep it up 2012 brides...

Thanks, girl! I'm really happy with my progress and I'm not craving them surprisingly enough. Little craving here or there, but I just use my e-cig and it goes away (I even puff a little at my desk at work sometimes!!). I tried to quit in March 2009 also, but I was back smoking by the end of April 2009. I'm glad one of us made it back then! But I'm here with you now!

I've tried multiple times to quit (patches, gum, medicine, hypnosis) - NOTHING worked for me. I have a highly addictive personality (thanks, Dad). The e-cig is my life saver. FI likes it too since I'm not a royal bitch like every other time I tried to quit embarrassed.gif

I was feeling a little weak the other day and I wanted some coffee from the BP. So I made FI go in the gas station with me because I wasn't sure if I could make it through checking out without buying a pack. I know its pathetic, but he is my knight in shining armor LOL

I have a little ticker on another forum that shows that in the past two weeks, I've saved $81 and avoided about 270 cigs. Its insane when I look at it that way and it's a huge motivator!! I have so much extra money from every paycheck to play with or to use on the wedding! :-)

Thanks for the support, I'm keeping on.

Anyway, enough outta me - back to the fitness chat!

Hey ladies,

First day of my power90 (precussor to p90x) was yesterday.  I feel awesome!  And very excited to do it again today.  I had to pause twice for a few second but it was all good.  I think back to my college days and these exercises were a breeze....so this is my motivation to get back to my line name of "brick house"  ;-)

Congrats on the pending wedding. Congrats on taking charge of your body, mind and health.  You may want to read up on the hCG Diet. Some people are losing from 0.5-1 lb a day.  There are 23 day and 40 day protocols. It doesn't require you to workout, however, I feel it spends up the process.  You can find great deals on ebay.com.  Best of luck on your big day.

Kya,

I will say just with the 1 day that this program is definitely not a 90 day program for someone in semi good condition.  Maybe like 30-45 and then I'll hop into p90x. I'll definitely keep you posted.. as I'm looking forward to taking my measurements again and seeing the results.  But for now it's good feeling pain in my stomach and thighs...

That's good to hear, I'll be finishing the first 28 days of Hip Hop Abs on Friday and am very eager to see if I'll have the results I'm hoping for. But definitely want something that will be more challenging to keep up motivation and inches off. I think I'm going to give P90 a try. I'm totally a beachbody fan... I'm also interested in Turbo Jam :P I like these at home videos... no one can watch me ;)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
