Just joking Michelle, I found your site!

Your pics are so great!  You looked gorgeous, and everyone looked like they had a fantastic time!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!

I just wanted to know if your flowers (bouquets) were from the resort package?  They were really pretty and I loved how they matched your hair flower and cake too :)

CONGRATS!!!!

No Kary, they were not from the resort. Only the 2 ceremony/gazebo flowers were from the resort

I had custom made "real touch" flowers.

Everyone thought they were real, even touching them.

It is so nice b/c they are much lighter and easier to hold (held the real bouquet the resort had made and they were heavy)

They obviously don't wilt in the heat

And you pick exactly what you want color and flower wise.

I paid $300 for my bouquet, 2 bridemaids, cake flowers, groom bout, and hair flowers for me and our moms.

There were little diamonds in each flower and a starfish rhinestone applique.

Got to bring them home with me too!!

There are different websites that do it but I got mine from

Hi Ladies:

I am getting married at the RIU Palace Cabo San Lucas on December 10, 2011.  For those questioning being in communication with the WC.  They typically would not contact you until 2 months before the wedding, but being as I am a control freak, I was constantly asking question.  I am still finding things out to this day with 12 days till the wedding.

Hi ehughes!

That's a relief to hear.  I know they won't be contacting me until 2 months before, but as I'd seen others have gotten a checklist and other info beforehand to keep them happy until the two month mark, I emailed the WCs, but haven't had any response. I'm not too worried, as I believe they know what they're doing, I am just a control freak and want to know EVERYTHING.

Any big pitfalls you can warn us about, with yours coming up so soon?

Hey Crys!

I hope you are still checking this site!  Can you tell me which DJ you went with?  We were going to do our own music, but now that the wedding is getting closer I don't want to worry about it.

Hope your having fun being the new Mrs!

As for my future brides, has anyone booked their DJ yet?  Is there one that the RIU uses?  I am wondering if we decide to use someone else that isn't contracted with the resort will require the $300 vendor fee?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
