Who is the Best Photographer in the Cancun/Riviera Maya Area? PLEASE HELP!

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever used Belen Luckie??  He is now a much less expensive option under Ivan Luckie and I wanted to see what everyone thought of him as I'm guessing he's new at this.  Thanks!

I got married at Moon Palace Cancun back in October so have not visited the site much since then but having seen the title of this thread I felt I had to comment. If anyone is getting married at moon they will know all about tricky outside vendor policies but we went ahead and used Derek from photos in cancun. Got round the outside vendor thing by booking him a room for the night. We paid $1500 for the whole day and it was worth every penny. I added a review to his vendor site on here straight after the wedding. Photography was a huge thing for me as neither my husband or I are people that like posing for photos but we couldn't of been happier. At the end of the night he burned 4 discs with 2600 shots on, every thing he had taken that day which are images we now own. You also then communicate with him to arrange the number of edits you want. We only recently did this as it was so tough to decide as to us they all looked amazing as they were. Anyway, I have posted the link to his website and to my wedding specifically but if you have any questions please message me.

Hey Ladies,

I was married on November 8, 2011 at Barcelo Maya. We used Ivan Luckie & his wife, Anell..... They are 2 of the nicest people that we have ever met. So professional at what they do. They were absolutely everywhere on the day of our wedding and captured so much laughter & emotion throughout our day. We also did a TTD with them, hands down the most amazing experience I have ever had. Ivan was so patient with me (I was a floater at first, lol) our photos came out GORGEOUS.

If any of you are thinking about hiring him as your Wedding Photographer, you will NOT be disappointed.

I highly recommend Ivan Luckie! Here is my review and photos below...

Pros: Responds Quickly, Creative, Caring, Passionate, Loyal, Easy & Fun to Work With
Cons: None

We got married at Sun Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico on 01/15/12. The one thing I was concerned about with the wedding planning was photography. That was the MOST important part to me. I did research on all the local photographers in Cancun for months... I read reviews, looked at tons of pictures, prices, sent many emails to photographers, etc. When I came across Ivan Luckie's work I was instanly impressed. He seems to have 90% good reveiws which is very impressive. Then when you begin to look at his work, you get blown away. He has a very creative style. He definitely has a eye for photography. He creates amazing photos and captures some really special moments. Not only is he a AWESOME photography but he is a really kind hearted man. We really got to know him when we rode in the car for 45 minutes to travel to the cenote to take trash the dress photos. We talked to entire ride and I was very impressed with how caring and loyal he is with his work. He doesn't do this to charge a ton of money, he truly does it for the art and to make his customers happy. He responds quickly to every email and answers every question you have. He never let me down. He will go out of his way to make you happy and do anything that is needed for your special day. If you book Ivan Luckie for your wedding and/or trash the dress photo shoot, you will NOT be disappointed. And I must say his specialty is trash the dress sessions. Our pictures turned out AMAZING and I've seen many more on his facebook page that he has done and they all are breathtaking.

    • It’s been years... and I’m now searching for the same in Montego Bay or Negril. Did anyone ever have any luck finding?
    • Hello, I'm new to this site. I got engaged already and get married by next year. I have some doubts regarding our dating destination. Hope you will help me. Thank You!
    • Hello everyone,
Well, this upcoming valentine's day is special for me because I got engaged and planning to spend the day with my fiance. I'm planning to give her an ethical jumpsuit.

Other than that I have been searching the internet for some nice discounted coupons and searched among my friends and found different sites. Now, we are looking forward to that wonderful day. We searched a lot and found out, Escape The City. Orangeville is a great place for a day trip or weekend gateway from Toronto.
Theatre Orangeville is offering a weekend package that includes 2 tickets to a Live performance at the theatre, Premium Overnight Accommodations at Best Western Plus Orangeville Inn and Suites and $75 Downtown Wine and Dine Voucher which is valid at select Downtown restaurants, and Free Entry to the scenic Trails & Bridges of Island Lake.

We are so excited and eagerly waiting for that day.
If anyone has got any other suggestions for the venue, kindly share your thoughts/ideas.
      Thank You!

    • Please tell me, the best wedding venue in Saskatoon, SK.
    • Hey everyone! Like the others here, I'm interested in wedding reception, venue and all related steps & stuff. Starting with my first and the most important note is that we're international couple and we need to think of bilingual wedding. So the first thing we need to think of is whether it will be interpretation or 2 different venue coordinators, sermons and stuff? What is your experience, what could be the best and affordable solution? From googling the issue I've found this Interactio app team ( describing possible solution here  http://blog.interactio.io/case-study-weddings )Basically they offer to hold the venue in the main language, additionally providing simultaneous interpretation online to other quest's mobile phones. Looks like really easy and creative idea. What about the others? How did you solve this kind of obstacle? Any additional advises would be very welcomed here
