Who is the Best Photographer in the Cancun/Riviera Maya Area? PLEASE HELP!

Recommended Posts

My favorite is Playa Weddings -- it is a husband and wife team. They are from the US but have lived in Mexico for eons. She does photography. He does the videography. It is not necessary to have both the photography and videography if you go with them. It was just great that they offered both. What I really love about them is they have a very authentic style i.e. the pictures come off looking very genuine not staged and stiff. The video is the same. I know they started doing Super 8 video (think nostalgic videos that you would see of your parents). I think they are doing them at cost right now to try and get more people interested in it. We were married in November, and I was very concerned with photography as you never hear any good things about the resort photographers.

I did some research and got some pricing and we used Gonzalo Nunez his price was more than reasonable for what he was offering ~10 hours for wedding day and then 5 hours I think the next day for TTD.  We did some emailing back and forth and he was always very quick to respond.

He was so friendly and so funny.  He came to the resort promptly when he said he would and got started right away.  Wedding day came and went and then there was TTD.  He took us to three different locations and even took us for tacos at a roadside taco stand and they were the best tacos ever.

He just sent a preview of the photos he took and I am so very impressed.  So far they are amazing.  I would highly recommend Gonzalo.

Here is his blog.

Has anyone used Ismael Pacheco before?  He's really reasonably priced but I haven't heard of anyone that has used him.

My husband and I used Juan Navarro for our wedding and TTD photos and I agree with everyone else......he is amazing! Well worth it, you will NOT be disappointed and he is so much fun to work with! I booked him and about a week or two before we were leaving he emailed to get details about times, what we wanted, etc. We both highly recommend him and his team. Oh, and he showed up at our resort with 3 other people, so they get pictures of you and your guests from literally every angle! Here is a link to our wedding pictures that he posted yesterday....

I used Ismael for my wedding on 8/23 at the moon palace resort!  He was FABULOUS! I could not tell you how happy I was with the photos!  He is very flexible and will do any types of photos that you want.  He is a great artist!

I strongly recommend him!!

Thanks you so much.  I haven't heard of anyone using him, so I was getting really nervous about sending him money.  That is one thing that makes me nervous about destination weddings and using vendors off of the resort.  I'm thrilled to hear that you had a good experience!

    • It’s been years... and I’m now searching for the same in Montego Bay or Negril. Did anyone ever have any luck finding?
    • Hello, I'm new to this site. I got engaged already and get married by next year. I have some doubts regarding our dating destination. Hope you will help me. Thank You!
    • Hello everyone,
Well, this upcoming valentine's day is special for me because I got engaged and planning to spend the day with my fiance. I'm planning to give her an ethical jumpsuit.

Other than that I have been searching the internet for some nice discounted coupons and searched among my friends and found different sites. Now, we are looking forward to that wonderful day. We searched a lot and found out, Escape The City. Orangeville is a great place for a day trip or weekend gateway from Toronto.
Theatre Orangeville is offering a weekend package that includes 2 tickets to a Live performance at the theatre, Premium Overnight Accommodations at Best Western Plus Orangeville Inn and Suites and $75 Downtown Wine and Dine Voucher which is valid at select Downtown restaurants, and Free Entry to the scenic Trails & Bridges of Island Lake.

We are so excited and eagerly waiting for that day.
If anyone has got any other suggestions for the venue, kindly share your thoughts/ideas.
      Thank You!

    • Please tell me, the best wedding venue in Saskatoon, SK.
    • Hey everyone! Like the others here, I'm interested in wedding reception, venue and all related steps & stuff. Starting with my first and the most important note is that we're international couple and we need to think of bilingual wedding. So the first thing we need to think of is whether it will be interpretation or 2 different venue coordinators, sermons and stuff? What is your experience, what could be the best and affordable solution? From googling the issue I've found this Interactio app team ( describing possible solution here  http://blog.interactio.io/case-study-weddings )Basically they offer to hold the venue in the main language, additionally providing simultaneous interpretation online to other quest's mobile phones. Looks like really easy and creative idea. What about the others? How did you solve this kind of obstacle? Any additional advises would be very welcomed here
