Sadly we have been advised that the hotel does NOT permitted ANY photographers from Mexico into the hotel complex.   :(

Even if you fly in your own photographer you are then charged $800 dollars per photographer - easy money huh for the hotel!   Thats a lot of additional expense.  Wish I had looked more into the photographer side of things but hey hoe im sure we will be fine  . .. plenty family and friends coming with us and im sure they will have some crazy shots.

I recommend Photo's in Cancun.  My sister used them for her wedding last year and the photo's were amazing.  They also give you all the pictures on a disk that same day and then they will do photo editing of 150 pictures for you.  I loved her pictures so much and the professionalism of the photographers that I am booking them for my wedding.  They are a couple that live in Cancun.

Hi there!  Has anyone use Ismael Pacheco?  I contacted him and his packages were very inexpensive!  I'm talking $730/6hrs, $1220/8hrs, and $2530/full day (12-14 hours).

Those prices are the absolute cheapest I've found.  His website looks good and professional.  But I am having a hard time finding reviews for this guy, other than the "ravs" on his site, which of course will be positive.

I'm thinking, hmmmmm.....why are his prices so much cheaper than others?  Is this "a steal that I can't miss out on"?  Or a "you get what you pay for" deal???  If anyone has hired/use Ismael P., could you please provide feedback on his communication and work?  Were you happy with your photos?  Or if you've heard anything about him, could you please share.

Thanks!!!

Hi Scarma,

Welcome to the Forum!

These are pictures from a Mayan Ceremony at a Cenote in Playa del Carmen.

It is a spiritual and interactive ceremony with a Shaman.

You can do this kind of ceremony also at a beach: the shaman normally makes a circle with all the guest and the wedding couple is in the middle; the Shaman requests permission to the gods of the four elements to bless the union.

If you have any further questions feel free to ask us anything and we will be happy to help:

Happy Planning !!

Hello fellow brides and congrats on your upcoming weddings! Our wedding was two weeks ago in Tulum. We were lucky enough to have two different sets photographers at our wedding! One was Luckygirl Photograph yfrom Winnipeg, Canada and we are still waiting to get our photos back from them.

Our other photographer was Susana Hidalgo of My Adorable Bridal. She is so sweet and very talented, as you can see by some of photos she took of us below! Her prices are very reasonable (up to $1500, depending on the package) and you will not be disappointed! Her style is very artistic and photojournalistic rather than posed stiff photos. She also does TTD sessions if you're interested in doing one. Here's her website where you can see more of her work: http://www.myadorablebridal.com/ and you can contact her through the website.

Feel free to PM me with any questions, and happy planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
