Who is the Best Photographer in the Cancun/Riviera Maya Area? PLEASE HELP!

Recommended Posts

David Pena did our wedding photos on April 1, 2011.  He spent so much time getting absolutely gorgeous and artistic photos.  He spent an hour shooting while I was getting ready for the wedding and continued to shoot during the wedding and when the sun started setting, he started working very quickly to make sure he got the best light and they are the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen.  I feel that we got much more than we payed for.  He was very friendly and creative.  He had ideas about poses and ways to position your body that looks very unique.  He was amazing and super friendly.  I can't believe I got so lucky as to have him as our photographer!

David Pena is a fantastic photographer.  He shot our wedding at the Gran Melia Cancun on April 1, 2011.  Our wedding was on a Friday and he had our pictures, cd, and album ready to take home on Saturday evening.  He didn't just do our photo shoot on the beach.  He took photos of us getting ready, my dress, flowers, and rings.  He took photos in my hotel room, balcony, in the elevator, lobby, staircase, all the way to and through our wedding ceremony.  He did the most gorgeous, artistic shoot of us on the beach.  The session was very at-ease, relaxed, no stress or pressure, which really added to the beauty and fun of our most special day.  He was more than worth what we payed.  People have commented that our pictures look like they should be magazine fashion spreads or covers.  He knows exactly how you need to move your body, hands, shoulders, etc. to get the perfect shots.  He uses beautiful angles and lines in the background.  His work is more than just photographs, it is true artwork.  I couldn't imagine getting more beautiful photos from anyone else.  taylor5x057.JPG

Without a doubt Del Sol & La Luna are the TOP NOTCH photographers in the area. I was also having a really hard time making my decision...I loved Del Sol, but it was a little out of my price range. Then they told me about their sister company La Luna and I about DIED! All the photographers had the same amazing skills and vision as Del Sol but for a more affordable price. Since I also feel that photography is one of the most important parts of our big day and our memories, we decided to book Rachel with La Luna for our wedding day. Then since we wanted to do something different for our TTD, we are dong our TTD with Matt from Del Sol. I can't tell you how excited I am to have our pictures taken by the both of them...I can't wait for them to make me look like a model!!! LOL.

oops.gif Oh shoot!!!!

I just read your post about them being banned! LAME! How terrible! Well....you could at least do a TTD with them! How many people can say they have done an underwater TTD! :)

I hope you can find someone else you will be happy with on your wedding day!

We are very anxious to see you in May for your special day!!!!

Ciao!

My fiance and I have officially booked with FineArtStudio also for our wedding in September. Their work is amazing, prices are very good, and Fabrizio is VERY quick to respond to emails! He answered every question I had before we decided to go with him which we feel really good about.

We got married on 3/3/2011 at Barcelo Maya and we used Take it! as our photographers... they were incredible to work with and really nice people, great with communication, not intrusive at all, and of course the pictures came out awesome.  They are two photographers (one male, one female which is perfect) and they stay with you for the whole day - they don't charge hourly - and they gave us plenty of pictures and their prices are totally reasonable.

Their website is http://www.fototakeit.com

We weren't even planning on doing a trash the dress, but we went for it and it was so fun and the pics are awesome!

We didn't want an album or any prints, just digital and they were able to do that.  They were also able to get us all of the pics prior to our departure which was great.

You can just email them and they'll send you their list of packages, prices, etc.

We highly recommend them - can't say enough good things about them, all of our guests loved them too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
