The Hard Rock Punta Cana

Recommended Posts

Not sure if you are dead set on the Hard Rock, but we went there for vacation last July and wasn't that pleased.  It's beautiful, and a great resort, but too many kids.  If you don't mind the kids always in the pools where the pool bars are, or pretty much taking over the pools other than the kid pools, than you might like this resort.

My fiance and I submitted a proposal to Hard Rock for May 18th about a month ago. 2 weeks later we got a message pretty much stating they got it and that I would hear from someone. Two weeks after that we got an email stating our time was not available. I have since sent e-mails requesting dates with the 4pm time we want and have called a couple times...now what?? We haven't even booked anything and its been a month. I'm just getting anxious and would like to know if any of you went or is going through the same thing. Thanks!!

smr6281,

I can relate to what you are going through.  I faxed my wedding request on March 5th.  Marlyn told me that she would get back to me 24-48 hours.  I emailed her on the 12th because I had yet to get a response back.  I heard nothing.  I called the miami office that week and left a voicemail for Marlyn.  Never heard from her.  I called and spoke to the booking department and they told me (i called on march 21) that someone would get back to me in a day or two.  I called the miami office again on march 23, and told them that I am very concerned about my booking request and the lack of communication.  They told me I would hear something by the end of the day.  NOTHING!!!  I am so frustrated and am worried that we will not get our date and time due to the lack of communication which is not my fault.  Finally, my travel agent told me to contact Renee at the Miami office.  I emailed her and hope that she will be able to better assist me.

They seriously need to tighten up this end of their business or they will lose future clients.

Any 2013 brides to be out there?

My fiancee and I are looking at HRPC for summer of 2013.  I have traded e-mails several times w/ Marlyn, and was provided a contract with room rates, but wedding package pricing for 2013 is not being available yet.  I don't feel comfortable putting down a deposit for a future date if I don't know what the costs are going to be.  Has anybody been able to get any pricing information?

Thanks!

I am using this particular vendor because the hotel allows you to work with them and no guest pass is required. They have done many weddings at the hotel. I will be getting some things from them and some things from the hotel's in-house decorators. Caribbean Celebrations is cheaper for some things such as centerpieces and other decor. They also have great service and get back to you promptly which I really appreciate. On the other hand, there are things that I wanted that are cheaper at the hotel which is why I'm using both.

Okay ladies...I just spoke to the miami office AGAIN...and I was told that they just changed their computer systems and that is the reason why they are taking so long to respond to peoples requests.  I was told that they are just processing Feb. 2013's.  I wish I was told that the other 2 times that I called..lol.  Anyways, it's not a great excuse but at least some sort of communication as to why they are not responding promptly.

For brides that have already booked and ready to go or those who have already had their wedding at HRPC --

How long did it take for you to book your wedding?

The slow response is making me antsy about their ability to put together a wedding. I'm starting to wonder if their disorganization is reflective of their actual wedding coordination.

Thanks.

Wait...the hotel is letting you work with Caribbean Celebrations directly??? Renee told me that i have to go through her and she would send Lara all of my requests. I suspect they are DEF trying to charge me more for centerpieces and decor than if i went directly through the vendor. Who approved this for you? (so i can ask them instead of Renee) I'm pissed!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
