The Hard Rock Punta Cana

Recommended Posts

I'm confused, being that the Hard Rock is no longer with Palace Resorts, is all the information that we are getting from Renee & Maylen (our WC's from Miami) not accurate. It's so annoying that they don't even email you right away, they wait sometimes weeks to do so.  Should I just wait and speak to someone directly from the hotel? This all seems so absurd to me.

Hello,

Best way to secure is through a travel agent, get them to contact the wedding department directly do not email.

Not sure if my last post went through?? I am new to this forum. I placed a wedding proposal through the Hard Rock Punta Cana website and I have not heard back from anyone. How did you secure your date and get a contract? Was there a certain person you contacted? Do you recommend I use a travel agent to secure my date? Any help or advice on how to secure a date would be fabulous! Thanks in advance.

Hello Sunlover,

I agree I think it is crazy that you have to pay $6.00 for extra chairs (I have to pay $180.00 for an extra 35 chairs) when I paid for the diamond collection which is $2,300.00 and they can't give me chairs for my ceremony, I have never hear of that.

We even have to pay to have extra chairs on the beach for our ceremony (we have to pay for 40 extra chairs as we have 70 guests & they only cover 30 chairs- WTF???). Yes, we did sign our contract over a year ago & our proposal is wrong every time I receive it. It is so frustrating!!! I have a telephone meeting this week & I am about to EXPLODE!!!

The worst part is that I have been a part of multiple destination weddings in the past & NONE of them had any problems or confusion planning their wedding. This has been a NIGHTMARE!!

My only hope (prayer) is that it "all works out in the end". At least that's what they keep telling me.

Hey Tatiana,

Do the 2 wedding planners that you listed only speak Spanish? Cause I would like to contact them to ask some questions that Renee is taking forever to answer. Hearing all the complaints about her is making me nervous and I'm starting to think that maybe I shouldn't have my wedding at the HRH.

I feel the same way. Hearing all the posts about the crappy wedding planners is making me nervous as well. Does anybody have a recent review of their wedding at the HRH?

I am feeling really torn about to continue with Hard Rock.... I absolutely loved the resort and it is a great location for the group im taking. But the poor communication is making me so nervous. I wanted to do a destination wedding because I didnt want to be stressed about the planning process but hearing all these reviews is unsettling. I did have my first phone call with Renee and it seemed to go well with the planning but Im not sure how it will be. I agree it would be helpful to hear from brides who have had their wedding and hear their feedback!

Hey Eric,

How long after you got your date confirmation did you have your first phone call with Renee?

I agree with you, that's the same reason I decided to go with the destination wedding cause I didnt want to be stressed. I did speak to Nancy who is the on site WC and she said I could call her anytime with questions cause she knows it's hard to get in touch with Renee. That made me fill a little bit better but I'm still torn.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
