The Hard Rock Punta Cana

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies,

I am new to this site.  A friend that just got married in Jamaica recommended it to me.  We are getting married at the Hard Rock on March 7, 2012.  I have been in contact with the wedding coordinator in Miami.  She has been awesome.  Has already sent the scanned translated docs and the form for the marriage lic to the hotel. For those of you getting married int he DR we sent all of our paperwork to the consulate in Chicago and had it back to us in a couple of weeks.  Plus it was cheaper.

For those of you that have been to the resort...I know buildings 4 and 5 are the "best" (if thats even possible) I have notice that the buildings are divided into a and b.  which is closest to the beach?  I want to put in a request but want to make sure I am requesting the right one.

Also, is there a dry cleaner / laundry at the hotel.  wondering if I need to bring my own steamer or if there is someone there that can steam my dress and his pants and shirt.

Thanks for your help!!!

Ladies!!! Just had a friend and his family stay at the Riu and The Hard Rock this past week and he was blown away by the Hard Rock. He said it is the perfect hotel for a Wedding. There is so much to do, so many different areas to be in, so many pools, etc. I will be making my final decision by the end of this month.

Hopefully I will be a Hard Rock 2013 bride!! As soon as the decision is set in stone, it is a go.

Quick question on pricing - how does the pricing on private parties actually work??

Hi Teenyclt,

I am getting married at Hard Rock on November 9, 2012 and will be staying from November 5-12. That is great to hear I have another bride there during the same time. I still have plenty of questions but have also done plenty of research. Hope all goes well and maybe we can bounce questions and answers off eachother.

My fiance and I just booked at the Hard Rock for Nov 9th 2012! We had originally decided to go with the Majestic Elegance, but due to our wedding size of about 100 it seemed to be a much better deal to do it here. We were a little nervous at first because of all the negative reviews but Gina your video erased all of our doubt! It looks amazing!

@Tatiana -The WC does not usually contact you until 3 months prior to the wedding. We signed our contract back in September for an April wedding and still didn't hear from anyone until i contacted Marlyn myself.I do have some information for the DJ because I had specifically asked about that. I do not want to spend much money on the decor so I didn't ask. When we signed our contract, it was still with the old wedding collections.

From what I have read, it looks like a contract needs to be signed to be able to have a date. I do not know how much or if any money is required. I am still trying to find that out as well.

Also trying to find out the private party options...no such luck yet either...Ill will post if I find out any other information.

Hello All,

I a new bride to be on this site and my wedding date is set at the Hard Rock for November 9, 2012 and will be staying from Nov.5 - Nov. 12. Congrat's to previous brides and soon to be brides. I would like to say thank you ahead of time to everyone taking the time to post information for future brides. The first thing that caught my attention is that @sobol1978 said that if you go with the complimentary package you do not get the wooden aisle is this true? There are two ceremony locations Ipanema (left) & Isla (right) if you are looking at the resort from the beach and from what I have seen in pictures and videos that even without a wedding the wooden aisle is still in place? Please comment....

Thank You!

and that's what i thought looking at the pictures and videos but the wedding coordinator from Miami told me i'm going to walk on the sand. Maybe that's with my packages? I have a conference call with her on Thursday 1/12 and i will be able to ask her questions - if you guys have any - let me know.

i had to sign contract and send CC # to reserve a judge. she sent me a small package with prices. if anybody wants to see it - send me a private message with your email address and i will forward it to you. - it's a 40 page pdf.

I did the same thing in the beginning and submitted a request to book a wedding date and no one got back to me. I, then mentioned it to my TA and she got hold of Maryln. We signed the contract and had to put a 50 % deposit down and the remainder will be billed 30 days prior to the wedding I believe.

@Sobol1978 - Our wedding is on April14th and our conference call is not until January 20th. You're ahead of the game.

Is the wooden aisle that you girls referring to the walkway on the sand? I want the ceremony to be by the beach and want to walk in my wedding shoes....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
