The Hard Rock Punta Cana

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies!

My fiance and i have been looking around online for the perfect resort for our special day and we ran across the hard rock! It looks really nice and the wedding packages seem like the best for the money that we have seen. We may have a larger group and the hotel seems large enough to accomodate out sometimes rowdy group. has anyone had any experiance with this resort? Also any other good hotels i should be aware of in the caribbean that would be good for a larger group (25-40 guests)

Was looking into sandals as well but they seem like they may be a little more pricey for our guests....

Any help would be appreciated greatly!

Pics don't do it justice! We went on a tour with one of the WC there she was amazing, i'll have to look for her name... The facility is huge and will def accomidate your group.  It's very trendy and has many restaurants, activites and the spa was phenominal. If you have your wedding in one of the ballrooms you can have your event go later (for additional $).  The only con we found was the distance b/t the main building, beach and rooms,  a bit far from eachother depending on where you stood.  They have a tran car system that makes designated stops. I asked the WC if we were able to reserve it so our guests would arrive on time and not have to worry about walking far, we were told that that wasn't avaialble.  Other than that we had a great time. Hope this helped a little..

It's so weird i've been reading all these reviews about it, and the more i read the more i become confused =( I keep being drawn back to it though so something tells meeh i should just go for it. I don't wanna make a rash decision though because this is a very important day. Been reading up on Dreams in punta cana as well seems a bit less pricey for guests but also doesnt look as fun as HRH....Tavel Agent we were referred to doesn't know all that much about it either she was told it was a "concrete jungle" It just seems so our vibe where as all other resorts seem dull in comparison! We are not just limited to DR i was actually trying to stray away from DR due to language barrier and the fact that my fiance's buddy got married in DR a few years ago....but the HRH drew me in.....Do i listen to the reviews or my gut?! help!!

Hi there!  I've been having the same dilema myself with the Hard Rock Hotel....It looks AMAZING!!!  My TA  has actually been there recently and she had nothing but great things to say about the resort.  Since it's a former Palace resort she said that there is a 5 star standard! I haven't booked there yet, but it's definitely the front runner!!  I think it's hard to just "pick" a hotel to have your wedding at without having visited there first.  We'll probably end up booking there anyways, because I can't stop looking at the pictures!  Good luck to you!!!

We really are having the same dilemma! Please keep me posted on how everything goes if you do decide to book at the HRH! I look frequently at the new reviews....i feel that it is highly possible that they just had a rough soft opening in November and that all the kinks will be ironed out by the time i expect to go in March '12! I did notice that alot of the bad reviews seemed to be from some snobby people bragging about all the am zing places they have traveled...I'm just a simple girl from Cali looking to have a good time and have a beautiful wedding! It would be easier if more of the reviews were about actual wedding events rather than contradicting reviews on everything from the decor! please keep meeh posted i don't have to book the wedding for another couple months due to travel info restrictions!! thanks!

Hi ladies!   The HRH was a buyout of the Moon Palace if im not mistaken.  Attached are a few pics of some of the recption locations we took when touring the HRH...  They also have a huge convention area that can be reduced to your needed size.  Hope this helps.

Thank you SO much for the pictures!!!  Did you decide on the HRH for your wedding?  Are there any other tips from your travel there or experience you had with the hotel?  I've read so many mixed reviews that I don't know what to do!! ;)

Thanks!!

We visted the NHReal, Paradisus PC, if youd like PM me your email and i'll frwd you which ever pics you'd like to see.  We've decided to go with the Majestic Colonial.  We didn't do HRH because we felt the main building was a bit distant from the rooms and beach for us since we are having older guests.  The MC works for us because it has everything centrally located and is a bit more convienient.  Hope this helped.

Sorry I just reread your question... The resort is very nice and the WC we met with was WONDERFUL, I wish she was at the MC.  I understand  the "concrete jungle," reference but I wouldn't let that steer you away.  They have alot of activities for your guests to do and you can take advantage of the credits they are currently offering.  We also had lunch there and the food was great.  They had a wide variety of options that would likely satisfy any taste.  The entire resort has a grand feel to it.  It has great areas to hold a reception.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
