I was thinking about doing the BD shoot for my FI.  Our wedding is in June so I am thinking about doing the shoot in May or April.  Is there any suggestions on photographers in the Chicagoland area?  I have been looking and I keeps seeing photographers who are too overpriced (around $500 just for the shoot).  Any novice photographers that could use the experience and the money???

I would recommend Serenity Photography in the Northwest burbs.  Their packages start at $99!  I did a boudoir shoot with them last year as a birthday gift for my fiance, and he LOVED it!  Steve and Harper are a husband and wife team and they made me feel like a model during the photo shoot, lol.  I think Harper does the photo shoots solo as well if you're not comfortable with a male photographer.  Let me know if you have any questions or want to see example photos from my shoot.

They seem really classy and appropriately priced.  How much do they cost to have pictures printed?  They mentioned a la cart, but how much did it cost you?  Were they able to give you all of your pics?

I just printed out three photos to have framed for my fiance's b-day, I think they cost $11 each for an 8X10.  I know that getting all the photos is an option, but not sure on the price for that.

They're more of a vampy, retro style than the BD style, but I love their work! I'm a little nervous though! :-)

I did a shoot w/ vavoom last winter (w/ my bridesmaids). It was a ton of fun, but just make sure to get all of the details about what's included in writing.

You will do great!!!  Just remember it's for his eyes only.  I can't wait to book the appointment for May.  I just need a few more weeks of personal training sessions to even call them.

I am also thinking about having one of my friends take some photos for me.  More of the bedroom shots that we can do at a hotel.  That way I can have all the shots and have fun with the shoot.  I believe editing is important in making the photos look great.  I wanted to use a professional photographer for the special shots that I cannot do in a hotel.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
