Hi there,

 

As photographer, I have covered plenty of wedding at Barcelo Maya Palace. To share all my experiences with brides, , I have decided tor write an advice page showing all the wedding ceremony and reception venues at Barcelo Maya Palace and other Barcelo Maya Resorts.

Hello Ladies,

I too am planning a 2012 wedding/vow renewal  at the Barcelo Palace. I had the pleasure of vacationing at the resort in 2010 and I fell in love. I just received my initial email from the resort. I replied to request the dates. And now I wait. I have visited the unofficial-barcelo-maya.com many times and it has loads of resort specific information. I heard about BDW on their forum and I have found loads more information here as well. I will keep you posted on the progress but first I have my first question:

How did you handle the travel arrangements for everyone?Group rates?  I booked my vacation with cheapcaribbean.com when I went last year but is their a better way?

Congratulations Ladies!!!

We too are getting married at Barcelo Palace on January 25th, 2012. TandT we may see you there!!!

I can hardly wait for winter now...something you will not usually hear me say! Everything is all coming together and I am getting so excited to finally be married to my best friend!

I have a guest joining us who is also my photographer and Claudia (WC) said as long as she is booked for 2..or 3 nights, I can't remember the will waive the outside photographer fee of $300.00. 

Anyone else have the Strawberry Passion Package? We always said we wanted to have dinner on the beach when we got married...so this should be perfect!!!

Hello ladies!

 

Well I finally joined. My wedding date is Feb 15 2012 @ 3:00 (Strawberry Package) ceremony and reception @ Playa Azul! Photographer is Ivan Luckie( can't wait for TTD!!). Coming from Alberta Canada with 30 of our guests. We are all staying @ The Palace for 1 - 2 weeks. Currently deciding on the menu...Surf & Turf sounds good. There are 8 children ( 1.5 -12 yrs) coming with us with some dairy, peanut, and egg allergies! Yikes!

Hi Everyone!

 

We are booked for April 12th, 2012 in the chapel.  We are traveling from Saskatchewan in Canada, but are bringing 80 guests with us from Canada and other parts of the world.  We are definitely looking forward to it!

 

I have done quite a bit of reseach and had some contact with the WC at the resort, so I hope I can help others that may have some questions.

 

Are people generally using the photographer at the resort, or is anyone looking elsewhere?

Here are some wedding videos from the Barcelo Maya Palace to help you envision your wedding. The first one is a Hindu ceremony at Playa Azul followed by a Catholic ceremony in the chapel. The second one was scheduled at Playa Azul but moved to an alternate location because of high winds.

My name is Stacy and we finally set the date for May 19, 2012! There will be about 30 of us and are all staying at the palace. I received confirmation for the date but still haven't picked our wedding and reception sites. We are doing the strawberry passion package and very excited to have everything on the beach. Any recommendations for wedding or reception sites?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
