I have been reading lots of messages in the Barcelo maya palace brides post here, but I thought i would start a new one for the 2012 Brides! I am so excited to get married and feel like 2012 will not come fast enough! So far not to many 2012 brides but i hope to find more, from what i have rewad so far it seems like the WC at barcelo palace take awhile to respond so hopefully we can all share our information! I have not yet set my date yet but I plan on getting married in April or March??  I plan on booking this summer but at least through the travel sites like orbitz or travelocity you cant even get a qoute for a package yet? this is so annoying! Hello, I'm planning my wedding at the barcelo palace for January 22, 2012. My TA is going to confirm and book that date this week. getting excited! I find if you get your TA to email the WC they respond alot faster. I discovered this site about a month ago, and so happy I did cuz I know it will make planning alot easier!

Hello and congrats! I am getting married at the barcelo palace too. Our date is January 22 2012. My TA is going to confirm and book that this week. getting excited!  I'm new to this site, but I'm glad I found it cuz theres so much info on here. Are there any new policies or new rules for this year that I should be aware of because it seems like there making or changing policies all the time! another good site to check out is unofficial barcelo maya forum. It has a lot pictures so it comes in handy when your trying to pick out a reception or ceremony site or whatever you want! Happy planning!

Im not sure how many changes that have made, the one thing that stresses me out is the photographer thing, it seems thay charge sooo much just to bring your own in since they offer one onsite. I started researching this place 1 year aga haha. I am really glad to start planning! Congrats on the wedding! i wish I was getting married that soon!!!!

Barcelo is one of our options but we are worried about the photographer fee to bring your own in, what if it is just a friend taking picutres and not an actual photographer?? Im going to check out that other forum!

I think if they're staying for at least two nights there is no charge for the outside photographer, otherwise it is $300.  Surprise_its_taken posted a little further up in the thread (she's there right now) with what they made her do for the photographer.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
