I love the colors..and the place cards are so nice.  A video invitation..I would love to see your finished product.

I did not get a lot of response from my save the dates that went out.  I just mailed out my invitations on Wednesday with an RSVP date of July 22, so we will see.

I love the colors too, the purple and teal look great. We sent out a little over 100 rsvps and I requested a response by today and I only have about 40 back and mostly from the people I already knew were coming. So I was hoping for more but I'm thinking I may get about 10 more years and the rest are gonna be no's

Wow I love your colors! I was thinking about getting my flower girl a similar dress. Is it a Dessy dress?

My place cards are the same (Martha stewart right?) I'm just waiting the number of guest to finally be confirmed. Do you ladies have problems getting your guests to rsvp?

Ha ha. I meant 10 more yeses. You know what else I had problems with I designed a Mexico postcard for the rsvps so they didn't have pre filled out envelopes and i've gotten 3 back without names on them so I have no idea who their from. Then I just read on another forum that, someone put numbers are theirs just in case the same thing happened. I wish I would have thought of that.

I have a spot on mine to fill in your name...but I can see guest that are not coming not putting their name there.  The numbers on them would have been great.  Dang.

You have no idea how many times I changed my colors.  I am open to color but I am not a fan of pastel colors, wanted to have some fun! I went on this site and made my color palate, its cool you can add your own pics or use the ones featured on (Dessy.com)  As for the bridesmaid dress its actually from David's Bridal $100 :)  Also the place cards are from Martha Stewart, your right! someone has been doing their wedding decor homework.  I will be sure to share the video with all u ladies real soon.  It has the information about the wedding on it and it instructs them to RSVP on my wedding website.  Less paper, and postage used = savings! check out the video invitations on youtube, thats where I got the idea.

Hi everyone!  I just found this thread.

I'm getting married on Sept 11 at Le Reve Hotel in Playa del Carmen.  Yay!  Our wedding colors are white and light green.  We're doing a site visit to work out all the details, pick the menu, see the florist, do a make-up/hair test, etc., on 4th of July weekend.  We were too too busy to go down there beforehand.  But this forum (especially a few members who corresponded with me) was super helpful, and I love this website!  Yay BDW!

I have my first fitting a couple of weeks after we get back from Mexico.  Yikes.  I hope it goes all right.  My biggest concern is that the wedding is going to be in Mexico in September, so the weather will be hot; yet my dress is made of rather heavy material.  The dress looks lovely, but I'm worried that I'll cook inside of it... huh.gifwacko.gif

I'll post a photo of the dress once it arrives.  We have about 25 guests coming (so far).  I think that's how many have booked their rooms.  And I'm very glad that Le Reve lets you bring a dog - so our doggie is coming!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
