Yes I am having a "rehearsal dinner" but everyone is invited because I do not think I will have that many people there.  The only time I have read about destination brides only have the wedding party and mom and dad is when they had over 100 people attending.

All the little extra things I wanted are not panning out so I'm a little stressed. The WC mentioned having a tequiler someone who specializes in tequila and does a tasting and I was going to do that the night before the wedding but now she says she can't find one. So I'm on the hunt not to mention Im still looking for reasonable priced fire dancers for the ceremony. Who knew finding things so common to Mexico would be this difficult.

Are any of you having a rehearsal dinner, I'm seriously considering not having one b/c I don't want to exclude people..any thoughts?

Welcome caboose! You are the day before my wedding, but were at Azul Sensatori! What are your wedding colors? I'm so happy someone else is right around labor day too... are you concerned at all about weather? I'm not but I've heard mixed things about weather during this time.

I also am a no fuss bride, minus family drama lol

We are also having a rehearsal dinner mostly because it is included in our wedding package. And secondly because all of our guests are from all over the place, but we are keeping this to people in the wedding & immediate family. I know how you feel about excluding people but at the same time it is your wedding and it will make the people in the wedding feel more included I think to be invited to the rehearsal dinner, maybe you can go over who is walking when, etc.....

Hi everyone

I'm having a "welcome dinner" since the resort does not allow "rehearsal dinner". ( I had to be creative)I  didn't have to pay extraa since we're having it a an a la carte restaurant. I think they only have to reserve a section for our group. Do you ladies/guys have to pay extra for that dinner at your resort?

I am having a "welcome dinner" the night before the wedding, but we are doing it at one of the restaurants at our resort.  Since the resort is all inclusive, there is not additional cost.  So, we are inviting all of our wedding guests.  One thought on the "tequiler" that I would consider......people may be hungover the day of the wedding.  Not that you would really care since you and your FI will not be hungover, but thought I would throw it out there!  Haha!  But, it is a great idea.  Good luck finding everything you are looking for!

We are at an all inclusive resort and the rehearsal dinner will be at one of the on site restaurants, so basically it is included.

Our colors are eggplant and light purple like lilac. The girls are wearing an eggplant Jim hjlem 5001 dress and the guys are wearing black and the light color purple. You know I though about the weather in the beginning but then I did some research and I thought maybe hurricane season would be over towards the end of August. I've got my fingers crossed for us. Have you though about wedding insurance just in case...i think it's going to run-around $100 but it will make me feel better, even though the hotel claimed they would refund us I just wanted to be covered if we use outside vendors and for any other incidentals.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
