Grand Palladium Jamaica/Lady Hamilton - 2011 Brides!

Recommended Posts

Hello. Our wedding is 6/16/11. Natalie had sent something once saying 30 days prior she needed the documentation, then another time she said she needed the documentation 6 weeks prior which is now!!!! I've been pondering what to do for the last couple days and I'm thinking I might have a notary that I personally know just "notarize" the birth certs. I haven't tried scanning and emailing what I have yet since she clearly reiterated that she wanted it NOTARIZED...???!!! I can't believe that the Grand Palladium has never married anyone who lives in a state that does not notarize birth certs! I'm confused and annoyed. I will definitely let you know if I get anywhere with this and please do the same!

Looks like we will be there the same time.  I'm getting married the day after you on Friday, the 17th.  Where and when on the 16th are you getting married?

I plan on sending her the docs this week.  First I will scan and email them to her.  If it's not accepted, I have a notary in my office and will have her notarize it and then send it to her again.  I thought certified was the same as notarized.  We shall see! LOL

Hello fellow GP Brides!  I am back from my DW and the wedding day could not have been more perfect!

We were married on May 4th in the gazebo at 4 pm and then followed with a reception at the Poseidon at 6 pm.

I will be writing my full review shortly (once more pics are available) but I just wanted you all to rest assured that the resort is stunning and the staff will do everything they can to ensure your big day is exactly what you imagined it would be cheesy.gif

Welcome CanadianGirl and Congratulations!  I am getting married on Sept 10 at the GPLH.  The Ruby/ Pearl packages are the old packages...I'm sure you can still get them, but I think the new packages are better.  I am going with the Waves of Love as well.  I have been dealing with Simone, my wedding coordinator, since March, and she has been very helpful!!  She is always prompt and thorough in replying to my emails.  It seems like most of the planning is done after you arrive, but your WC should be able to help you get a few details in order before then.  Let me know if you have any specific questions and I will be happy to help!  Good luck!

Yeah i agree, the new packages are def better....although it confused me with the ruby and pearl thing lol.....are you going with the resort photos? or are you finding something different. The reason I ask, is that my FI and I found a lady who is in Jamaica and she has great photo's and is cheeper for what you get than the resort.

do you know....can you add things to the wedding cake? my FI wants more color lol (and Im the girl lol)

lets keep in touch and maybe we can share info and ideas....hope your wedding is beautiful

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
