Grand Palladium Jamaica/Lady Hamilton - 2011 Brides!

Recommended Posts

Ok I just realized something haha. I am on the same flight as the majority of my guests. And I plan to assemble the bags once I get to my room. So it isn't possible to have them delivered to the guests' rooms when they check-in.

But still ... I'd like the "surprise" factor of having them show up unexpectedly in their room at some point ....

Well I think if worse comes to worst, we will just find out what room everyone is in and hand deliver the bags and just say something like "we wanted you to be able to enjoy the wedding favours before the wedding" (since our big favour is the travel mugs, which will be in the bags).

PS. I found some nice fans at Michaels today. $30 for a box of 18. (I'm sure there was a coupon I could have used but I forgot about that and was too lazy to go back lol). They come boxed individually in skinny little rectangular boxes so they won't take up too much space.

Yeah, and we'll probably only have about 20 rooms total. So I'd totally be willing to pay $40 to have the bags delivered. I just worry that some of them won't actually get delivered ... or staff will "help themselves" to something in the bags. Very untrusting, I know. But I wouldn't put it past most all-inclusive staff! (Again, the bad taste I have is from my Mexico experiences .. so I'm probably not being very fair to Jamaican AI staff).

We had about 40 rooms to deliver our bags to. We delivered them ourselves with the assistance of some of our friends / guest and we also left some at the lobby so people could get them at check in. We did not have to pay for that as we  just asked when we arrived. No one took anything from the bags.

Hi lindsayraz,

When are you getting married?   I have a group of guests flying out of Edmonton on Nov 16 and was told there is another wedding party on that flight?!?  Where did you get the mugs from?  I have been looking but we have 75 guests and the shipping is so high on them.  I have been looking for fans so I will have to check out Michaels tomorrow...thanks for the tip!

I wish I was going next month! Mine isn't until March 2012. You must be getting excited!!!

I haven't done my mugs yet. I am debating between doing Bubba Mugs or the drink cups with straws. I'm mostly waiting until I have a final guest count closer to the new year. But either way, it's gonna be pretty pricy  :S  Have you tried local promo places?

For our OOT bags, we left them at the lobby for the staff to distribute.  When our guests checked it, the bag was there waiting for them.  No complaints, everyone received their bag and everyone loved them!

Advice for cups/mugs... make sure you get them with lids!!  The water is pretty deep around the pool bar, so when you go "walking out" it was a definite must for a top!  So happy ours had lids!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
