So I wanted to share my progress! My fiance and I are both teachers, and a couple days before holiday break I promised him I would put the planning on hold until break... well I sure made up for that agreement since we've been off. I'm getting my oot bags started and I'm having a blast!

Here's what I've ordered, I'll post pictures when everything comes in!

vistaprint:

chapstick labels from sticky business cards

survival kit tags from oversized postcards (i may have to reorder with regular sized postcards)

luggage tags from business cards

towel tags from business cards

do not disturb door hangers from rack cards

welcome letters from oversized postcards

I've also ordered all the free stuff, but not sure what I'm doing with it yet!

I've also ordered totes from cheaptotes.com... now going to figure out how to screen print them

Stopped at the dollar tree for:

3 for $1 hand sanitizer

colorful bandaids

soduko books and wordsearches

individual tylonol packs

even though I still have a lot to still do, I'm excited I got started.

One great find is palm tree goody bags at oriental trading co.

Now I'm searching for beach towels and fans!

happy wedding planning!

I think that after this wedding is planned I will know enough about what works and what doesn't work that I could go into business for "Destination Wedding Planning". Unfortunatly as soon as you perfect something, you've done it and it doesn't need to be done again.

Is anyone making their own bouquets?

I haven't bought chapstick yet. I've read that dollar tree has 3 packs of chapstick at times, so I'm keeping my eyes open for this. I'll have to see how the chapstick labels work after they come in. I'll keep you posted. I'm adding more to my bags, but I figure if I do a little at a time, it won't seem so costly.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
