Hi Jackie,

Don't worry about the hijack! Yes, I am from mass, central, I live in Holland, which is on the Connecticut border, next to Sturbridge (old sturbridge village). I am still trying to decide on my location, I send my travel agent new ideas every day! Today I was looking at St. Thomas, but the reviews I read were not very good, so I think I am going to end up going with my original choice, Dreams Cancun, I've heard they do beautful weddings, and like you said in one of your other posts, I expect the whole being in Mexico and mexico is so beautiful thing to be my decorations. I really want to try to keep this as inexpensive as possible and spend money on the important things, my dress and the pictures! But I'll let you know once I decide, I'm sure I'll change my mind 10 more times!

"Dreams" in general has such a good reputation around here, I'm sure you wont be dissapointed. I think I looked at every island on the map before I pinpointed Mexico, and then I went through every area of Mexico before I pinpointed Riviera Maya. Go with your gut feeling. I'm sure wherever you decide will be great. I'll be on the lookout for good Dreams Cancun info.

Sturbridge is a lovely area. We head over to Conneticut once a year or so to visit family and I love stopping at all the country stores and finding little antiques to bring home. Antiques on the Cape are riduculously overpriced.

Amy (CaboDate),

I moved your post to your own new thread so that you dont get skimmed over in this thread. The thread is called "Newbie Too" its under the Newbies section. Good Luck with all your planning. Tons of info on Cabo in here and tons of girls to help you out.

yes, sturbridge is nice, however I'd much rather live on the cape! My sister got married last year and we took her there for the weekend for a quiet bachelorette weekend with the girls. We rented a cottage, it was a great place, I forget what town we were in, but I know we were close to hyannis.

I hope dreams is good, I read a lot of reviews and saw a lot of personal pictures of dreams online, so I'm hoping it will be what i want it to be. Most of the reviews I read were pretty good. Definetly if you find anything to post on dreams I'd love to see it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
