Hi Tennyt!

Tri-State bride here! I live in Norwalk, CT, about an hour from NYC.  So excited about this thread! I havenâ€t come across many people around this way. Iâ€ve done most of my wedding shopping online so I havenâ€t bought much locally but I do plan on going into the city for pashminas, OOT bag goodies and paper lanterns closer to the wedding.  I read some other brides got some great stuff.

Iâ€m getting married in JA too! In June.  Weâ€re not using a TA and most of our guests will be flying out of JFK. We havenâ€t bought flights yet in hopes of getting good deals early next year.

Hi Ladies,

I'm originally from New York now living in NJ for a little over a year. I'm getting married at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall in Montego Bay, Jamaica Saturday December 3rd, 2011. All of our guests will be leaving from Newark and JFK. The rooms are booked just waiting for flight schedule so we can start booking flights. :)

Where is everyone getting married?

Thank  you brides for joining this forum!!!!! I actually want to do a BD session...I am in contact with Jen, if anyone is interested in doing a group session let me know.  Her studio is in Bayside and a group session would make it less expensive for all of us.

Ladies, another question....I'm looking for 2 unique dresses, one for the rehearsal dinner and another for the wedding day after the ceremony.  I'm looking for something Unique....I don't want to end up in a dress that one of my guest may happen to be wearing.  Do you all know of anywhere that I can get such a dress....boutique or otherwise.

I'm a New Yorker and I'm glad a Tri-state thread was started! Thank you Tennyt1!! I'm getting married @ Moon Palace Golf & Spa resort in Cancun Mexico on October 8, 2011. We haven't booked flights/Accommodations yet because my TA recommended waiting till after the holidays when airfare tends to drop.

@DeAngelis2be - I'm looking to do a BD session the ending of the summer as well. Mind if I join you?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
