If I may just add my two cents on the flower situation.  Honestly, I dont think alot of people like fake flowers I know I didn't UNTIL I found a place that has a site with posted pictures of arrangements made from Real Touch Flowers and a ton of testimonals.  I have decided to get my flowers from this place and they have been fabulous to correspond with and very very helpful and reliable.  There prices are reasonable and I have my bouquest with the flowers and colors I wanted also my bridal party's flowers and corsages and boutinnerres...  You can not leave Jamaica with your bouquet so your going to pay a ton of money for flowers that you can't bring home..that in itself to me is a waste of money whereas you can bring your real touch home if you so choose and heck, you can resell them on ebay if you dont want to keep them.  If you just arent sure visit the website and just check it out maybe then you will be sold its hibiscusflorals.com . Good luck

Erica RN - THANK YOU - I have just found the orchid hair flower I have been looking for at this website!  Thanks - BTW ladies I am purchasing the $75 white orchid bouquet for my bridesmaid and just getting the magenta orchids for myself.  I was going to upgrade but decided to have a steel drummer at the ceremony/reception instead for the price of a bouquet upgrade!

I'm sure you'll love the steel drum band!  I think that is a much better idea than spending hundreds on flowers you can't bring home with you.  I had wedideas make my bouquet, the boutenneirs and corsages for moms.  I gave my sister the whiteorchid bouquet I got with the ceremony.  We didn't think she was coming until a week and a half before the ceremony due to money issues, so no time to get her a matching bouquet.

Has anyone upgraded your bouquet recently?  I'm looking for pictures from the floral catalogue or custom flower designs through Sandals or Beaches.  I have decided to upgrade my bouquet (probably to the Island Paradise theme bouquet), but I really want to see how they actually turn out.  Does anyone have any pics of their bouquets?

And no offense to the ladies using real touch, but I'm only interested in the Martha Stewart bouquets or customized real bouquets.  I realize they are a lot more money, but it's totally worth it to me.  Thanks!

HI Lauren,

I love the look of your bouquet in your pics.  It's so bright and stands out against the tourquise water.  How did you end up liking the flowers once you received them?  What size did you go with?

Lastly did it look a little odd with a purple boutineer but red/pink bouquet?  Just courious.

Thx

mary

I absolutely love real flowers, but I just cannot imagine paying an extra couple hundred bucks, just for my bouquet.

we were thinking of getting real flowers from a florist on the island somewhere... does anyone think this will be allowed? better yet, do you think they'll even know if i do this? or care if its already done? I'm not having anyone stand up so it's really  just my bouquet and a boutineer for my FI...ideas?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
