Flowers

Hi Ladies,

 

Just wondering if any of you are upgrading your bouquet?  I am not having bridesmaids, so I am considering stepping up my flowers from the free bouquet included in the BB theme. My two favorites are the white roses for chic and natural and the orange cala lily/roses bouquet for island paradise.  The orange one is a bit more pricey but very beautiful, and I think it would look very "island" with the purple flowers in the centerpieces.  The roses are not so tropical, I guess, but they would provide a classic look that would match any other colors I choose.  I am wondering how these look in pictures, and I'm hoping I can find someone who has chosen these or will choose these before I get married in July.

 

I am having the hardest time deciding on my colors, and choosing the bouquet is the first step I guess.  Any ideas out there?  What are your colors/flower choices?

I'm so glad you started this thread since it's also been on my mind. I am doing the chic and natural theme and my BM colors are apple grree.

 

I also loved the chic and natural white rose Bouquet. I was thinking of doing that with calla lillies.I will also be adding a little bling to my bouquet with bouquet jewels.

 

For my Bridesmaids I was thinking of doing the yellow rose with green dendrobiums mixed in.

 

These aren't definites. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out combinations. Their choices are quite limiting. I also heard that the resorts may also have other flowers that aren't listed in the brochure which also adds to the confusion Not to mention I am NOT a flower person.

 

Have you had any ideas so far?

I forgot to add that my colors are cream,brown, apple/clover green, and a little bit of yellow.

I love the idea of the roses with the calla lillies added in.  My first love was the cally lily bouquet, but it is way too much...just can't justify spending that.  Do you have a price for the roses with the callas added?

 

I like your idea of adding in the yellow for your bridesmaids. You just can't go wrong with the natural "earthy" colors combo.  I was just wondering about the diameter of the roses...seem a bit small in the picture. 

 

I wish I had another option instead of the purple for centerpieces...not my favorite but it is FREE.  I know you can replace them with white, but then I just feel like it would be too blah...

 

I think I will go ahead and decide on my bouquet and pay...from what I hear, I can change it when I get to the resort if I like the other options.  I would just like to know I have something I love going in.

I have no idea what any of these costs! But I need bouquets for the BM's and I don't like the long orchids used for the C and N theme. So either way I have to get them. I will ask my WC this week and let you know the prices she quotes me.

 

I'm sure the purple centerpiecs look lovely! I wanted  to add more floral to my centerpieces but they say I can't.

 

This is one of the things that pisses me off. Let me do what I want to. Either way your getting paid!!! And what frustrates me is that different people tell me different things. They tell you no outside vendors, but you can really bring them if you complain and threaten to cancel lol.

 

It's all a game sometimes. Keep trying to work your way around them. Sometimes you have to be a Bridezilla to get things done..

I was, until I found this website! Now I am just going to take flowers with me for everyone! Sandals wanted to charge me $40 for a single stem rose & $15 for ribbon for it for my daughter!!!

I reaaaaaally like the look of the more subtle flowers like white orchids but I am pretty sure I have decided on bright tropical flowers (which I will probably have to upgrade to). I have a cobalt blue and turquoise color scheme and I think a bright orange would look very good.

My FI HATES fake flowers ....otherwise I would have ordered silk flowers a long time ago.

I feel the same way...can't even consider fake flowers.
