I wish our wedding was that close!  It's crunch time for you:)  How much do you have left to do?

Oh, I have so much to do, lol. When we were in 2010 it just seemed like the wedding was so far away; now we're officially in 2011 & I'm wondering where the time went! I have to:

  • Make my bridal bouquets & bridesmaid bouquets
  • Make Mom's corsage
  • Make boutonnieres
  • Order/decorate fans
  • Make bridal & bridesmaid hair clip
  • Make birdcage veil
  • Make reception dress
  • Make door hangers
  • Order OOT bags
  • Make hangover/first aid kits
  • Make "Before you leave pkgs"
  • Make luggage tags
  • Decorate cake server set
  • Decorate bride & groom champagne glasses
  • Decorate paper lanterns
  • Find plastic apothecary jars for candy buffet

And I know there's a million more things, but I don't want to think about it, lol!

No Worries!!!!  I'm going to try really hard to not fret about anything and just let things progress as they will.  I know the wedding will be perfect as long I let it!!  :)

Hello Ladies!!!!

@acireta ~ Du Page County in the house!

What a fun thread! My name is Jen and I live in Lombard, IL. Jason and I were engaged on December 27, 2010. We will be together 11 years this March and have known each other since 1992. I am thrilled to be getting married!!! I am frantically doing research about destination weddings. I love this website. I am really focused on OOT gift bags. We are days away from sending out 88 invites. Eesh! we will see what happens....

I've just read so many reviews on how the smallest things didn't turn out right and it made them freak out the day of their wedding, but they would also say their wedding was perfect.  So... my plan is to not to be involved in any of the setup the day of the wedding and just let it happen.  My mom is taking the lead! LOL  I didn't want her to, so she can relax on my day, but she wants to.  Just aiming for the No Worries!

I did that for my mom when she got married in 09, so she better repay the favor. Isn't that what moms are for?! angel1.gif

@Beachbridein11:

Welcome, Beach Bride!

I say, let your mom run with it:)  I think getting into the island mantra ("No worries") is the way to go!  Have you had a chance to look up all the fun Jamaican proverbs yet?  Some of them are hilarious!  What a fun and beautiful place to get married...

@bigredchibride

Jen, Congrats on your engagement!  Tell us a little more about your wedding and post a pic of your invites.  I am brainstorming on STD's, invites and OOT bags right now...

@Queendiva

OK!  Your are obviously so much more crafty than I am!  I like to pretend that I am accomplished at DIY, but honestly have my doubts that most of my projects are going to turn out the way I want.  Post pics!  I love looking at other people's handywork.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
