Registry wording on your website? Please help!

Recommended Posts

How have you worded your registry information on your website?  After searching through countless threads, I've only seen a few examples of the wording.  I would like to start with "Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift we could receive" -- very similar to some of the other BDW brides.  But from there, I get stuck and haven't found anything I love that tactfully states that we registered anyway for those guests that won't be able to make it or want to buy a gift regardless of where the wedding takes place.

Suggestions??

We are doing a registry as well for the same reason -- we are inviting over 100 people to our AHR who are NOT coming to our DW and may want to purchase us gifts.  I want to put wording in our "pre-travel brochures" that states something along the lines of "your presence is our gift", but I'm stuck with wording too!  On my Knot website it lists our registries, and my FI's mom has already called and kind of complained about having to pay for the trip AND buy a gift on top of it, but he explained it all to her.  I want to make sure no one else feels obligated either!

This is the introduction on our traveler's joy website.  I know you're probably referring to standard registries, but I think the second paragraph still applies.  On my wedding website, I just listed the registries...I did not say anything about not wanting gifts from people traveling with us.  I have, however, said that to several guests and am having my mom pass along the info.  Hope it helps!

Family and Friends,

Welcome to our dream honeymoon registry! We are going to be traveling to St. Lucia for our wedding, and then we will spend a few days of rest and relaxation as husband and wife. While on our trip, we are hoping to check some things off our life list, including a canopy adventure through the rainforest, riding horses on the beach, and spending the night on the famous Pitons on the southern end of the island.

If you are traveling with us for our "weddingmoon," your presence is the absolute best gift we could ever ask for. Some of our friends are unable to go and have asked how they could help, so we've created this page to give ideas on ways we would love to enhance the most important trip of our lives. We are grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful people, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you all.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
