January 2012 Brides!

In Jamaica it seemed to rain every day, but only for a short time period.  Although, the second day we were there another brides wedding was moved in doors because it poured for like two hours, right when she was supposed to get married.  It downpoured on our wedding day at about 1pm when we were in the spa and i was getting a little nervous, but it didnt last long at all and we had beautiful sunshine for our ceremony!

I'm glad I've been telling myself that because with 322 dry sunny days a year in Puerto Vallarat it's suppose to randonly rain on wednesday.... our wedding day LOL. I will only laugh about it if it does.... oh well marrying my best friend seems more important. I am still going to have warm happy thoughts for warm happy days :)

Also I believe some form of drama happens no matter what at weddings, it's just how you deal with it that matters most :) Can't believe we're more than half-way through our month ladies!!!!

My wedding is on the 25th and I have had a wedding nightmare every night for the last week.  I hope these problems only exist in my sleep and that everything works out.  I am trying to put together my Welcome Bags, but was wondering if I can bring granola bars, or snacks through customs? Anyone know?

My DH had wedding dreams for the entire month before the wedding! Luckily there were not all nightmares ;)

You can bring snacks through customs, just not fruit, in most cases. Where are you travelling to?

I'm so sorry for your drama ladies.  :( I'm glad it was still a good time (for the most part).

If any drama happened on our trip, our friends and family were courteous enough to keep me oblivious. Haha.

JayKay, sorry to here about the troubles, there always seems to be drama during weddings, and for DW we have to deal with it for a whole week! I'm glad that you are not dwelling, and focusing only on the important part.

Gorgeous pictures girls! Waiting on my pro pics as well. We just have a handful that we got free from the resort photographer of the ceremony. Our only drama was the Mother of the Groom getting severely ill the morning of the wedding and having to pay ALL of our available cash to pay for the doctor to come and put her on an I.V. for a few hours so she'd have the strength to attend at least the ceremony. Luckily we had a great group of friends who spotted us for the rest of the week. The rest of the week went perfectly and I'm almost teary eyed thinking of how grateful I am to the phenomenal WC's at our resort, they were fantastic.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
