We are doing it.  My FI also hates pictures, but I showed him some and he knows how much I want to do it - so he agreed.

I have no idea!!!!! LOL I just want them, I've been emailing my photographer about getting them done and he's going to try and work with my fiance and do them in a "short" amount of time. He was saying something about some beach that starts with an M... I can't remember the name, I'll check my email later and get back to you ; ) I really want in the ocean ones, like pretty much just in the water and on the beach. Getting pretty excited about them though!!!

We aren't doing it during our week in Jamaica.  I wanted to but my Fiance really wasn't too keen on doing it as he hates pictures.  We came to a compromise instead.  We decided that once we get back we will book another week vacation somewhere else for our Honeymoon (we are only staying one week at our resort due to school) and we will do a Trash the dress session on our honeymoon during the other week.

Hey Nikadawn,

Thanks so much for that!  We did get our guests travel mugs for our OOT bags so that's definitely an option!  I've heard from others who have been there and chosen not to pay for the bartender (because its an all inclusive!!) so they simply got jugs of rum punch from one of the bars and asked the housekeeping to just stock their rooms with beer (seeing as they stock them daily anyways).  Its definitely not ideal, but an option non the less! Will definitely keep the lobby bar in mind!  Thanks a bunch!

I was at a wedding at your resort last spring and from what I remember it's not a super long walk from the gazebo to the lobby bar. If you don't get a bartender it would be less than a ten minute walk there and back for people to grab their own drinsk (although there is a serious stairway along the way) Are you doing oot bags? If you give everyohne one of those huge travel mugs and tell them to bring it to the reception they'll only need one drink ;)

I'm at 53 days to go now.  I'm tackling all my wedding related stuff today, I transferred money to my wedding planner, I had a skype call with my wedding photographer to coordinate, started on my escort cards got my garter, and I just came back from my last fitting today.  I think I"m going to start my seating arrangements and at some point I should probably start cooking dinner...

Here's the pic of my wedding dress, they did a great job with all the alterations.

Ugh. That sucks, BusyBee! I think the suggestion about having people bring their own drinks sounds like a good plan, though. Hey, at least you will be saving a little money, too! :)

I feel your pain! When we first booked the photog, we paid a pretty penny and didn't want to go way overboard on photos, especially since my FI hates getting his pic taken. We'd have to do them on our last full day in Mexico, which is another reason why we weren't planning on it. But now I'm looking at pics on my photogs blog of his underwater TTDs and I REALLY want to do it. What does your FI think?

Speaking of photogs, should I be in touch with mine? It seems like you guys all are. I haven't talked to mine since I paid our deposit in June!

I just decided to email our photog the other day, just to get some info on finally payment (cash/credit/cheque) and meeting before the wedding when we get down there to meet and talk about the different shots I would like and what not. I would probably just find some easy question or something to email them just to reconfirm everything.... that's partly why I did becasue we hadn't spoke in months.

Experiencing mild shortness of breathe when I look at the countdown lately but I am taking comfort over the fact that we all seem to be stressing over the same things, makes me feel like I haven't forgotten anything. I FINALLY go for my first fitting on Sunday and my flowers (fake obviously) arrived yesterday and they are perfect, phew! I just need jwellery and a new suitcase and I'm all taken care of. 80% done my centrepieces too. I might actually get to relax and enjoy christmas after all!

AHHH!! It's December!

Question about wedding programs: are you guys doing them? Are wedding ceremonies pretty standard? I sent my WC an email a MONTH ago asking for a breakdown of the ceremony and I haven't heard back from her. I want to put together ceremony fan programs this weekend, but chances she emails me back tomorrow are pretty much slim to none.... Any one have a program they woudl like to share :)?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
