I never even thought about this!!! :(  Sometimes I feel like there are aspects of the destination wedding that are more stressful then a wedding at home!  It will all be worth it though!! ;)

I've had the same question concerning a shower.  I've read on another thread where the invites were sent out for the at home reception about 2-3 months prior to wedding, and the shower was planned right after those invites were sent out so people from the wedding and home reception could be invited to the shower. That obviously is different for your case but it's a lot to think about overall...

After reading the post yesterday, I decided to reach out to my TA last night to see where we are on numbers.  We sent out our Save the Dates in late March and as far as I knew, we had around 5 people plus by FI and I booked.  Well, I was off by a few, TA responds there are 16 people booked plus by FI and I!  I'm excited!! woot.gif

Only 5 1/2 more weeks until I get to go wedding dress shopping!!!! CANNOT WAIT!!!! Sometimes I hate living in a small remote town, we have to travel 5 hours to the closest city :( Counting down the days until I get to say, "Yes to the Dress"!!!!

I know the feeling! I used to live where the nearest city was just over 4 hours away. It's such a pain! Good luck finding your dream dress!

Thanks ladies, I am just hoping it is an enjoyable time and I find the dress without too much trouble ;) My mom, MOH and myself will be going and having a relaxing girls get away at the same time, should be a good time!!! Oh and Happy Mother's Day to any moms on here!!!!

I used to live 8 hours from the closest city, I know how you feel! It was nice to be able to go to a few places and spread it out.  I really appreciate that luxury now!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
