That's exactly my thought...and my health...its hard to exercise seriously when your pack a day smoker....I say a David Tutera episode of my fair wedding one time and he said.."Brides don't smoke." It really stuck with me...none of the brides i work with are seen with a cig on thier wedding day...

Kya...do it when your ready! Ive still been having my wine at nite, no butts though...and practically everone coming to Turks with us doesn't smoke. so really i would be the only one. That makes it a little easier for me :)

Oh that is sooo true and really gross too... BUT... not to make excusses, but my fiance's WHOLE family smokes and that is when I find it the hardest to not smoke!!! When I'm at home I don't really smoke at all, only if I go out... which is practically never :) I know I need to give it up for good... no looking back forever good. I can do it... I have done it. The longest I've went not smoking is 3 1/2 years and lately I might have 10 totally in a month so really I don't smoke much. I just have to leave it behind for good!!! Thanks for the support ladies... I know what I have to do!!!

I used to be a smoker...I sometimes hate to admit it, especially since I work in the healthcare field and know and see first hand all the negative consequences.  I was really sick in September and was admitted to hospital for a week and that made me quit, mostly because I couldnt even go outside to have a smoke and was to sick to even think about it!  It really is libirating to finally quit and I have never felt better.  I won't lie though, most days are a struggle, especially since my dear FI smokes and so do my closest friends.  I believe in you and when the time is right you will do it!!

It's so exciting when you get rsvp replies in the mail!!! I'm like a kid at christmas when I check the mail now!!! We have 6 booked and another 11 yes replies!!! Cannot wait until September to get a "final" count!!! I know we are going to have last minute mind changers who will book late if they can find good deals... I'm just going to add a few to my final count for that purpose!!!

Hey girls,

I'm going to send out my invites in July and I can't decide what date to put as the deadline. Everyone received STDs in February and 40 (or so) people have put down their deposits, but the balance is due for the group rate in October. Should I put my RSVP deadline as the date the balance is due? Technically, I don't need to know if they are coming until shortly before the wedding, and people can book outside of our group rate. What did you guys do? Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
