Hey Ladies!!

Whats everyone up to? Its been super quiet in here!!!! Im crazy, nutty, out of control busy !!!! Just moved back to NJ, a block from the beach (yay), but living with my FIL in his house, which will soom be ours, once his new house is done....I lived in Philly before, and am i loving having a backyard again!!! Gardening, laying out, playing with the dog, its pure heaven!!! My work has been so busY too, 3-4 weddings a weekend, ugh. We are actually filming for  HGTV next week for one of their Wedding shows that they air...YAY!!! I pray i am not on TV, the camera adds ten pounds, and thats not exactly a good thing for me right now, lol!!!

I have done nothing else for our wedding..I did speak to the wedding cordinater from the TA's office, but it was kinda wierd because she asked me 'what my vision was for my wedding' and i don't think she expected me to say NO HEARTS,NO SAND CEREMONY, NOTHING MUSHY. lol. What can i say, i am the anit-bride!!! Im around weddings all the time, big and elaborate, and i just want something simple and pretty and intimate. Also, i get so much info from this forum, that i think i knew more than she did about the resort,  so it was a little wierd. She is suppose to call me this week again to 'do some more planning' , so we will see!

Hope all is well with you girls....HAPPY SUMMER!!!!!

Wow, sounds like you are insanly busy.  I'm currently away (4 hours from home) completing a practicum in a hospital for school.  Really sucks being away from everyone and living out of a suitcase.  I have been doing it for the last month, and only one week left then I get to go home for good!!  I'm excited!

As for the wedding, I feel like I haven't done anything lately.  Being away from home its hard to do anything.  We aren't doing to much fancy frilly things for our wedding.  We aren't bringing any decorations or anything with us as we want to keep it just simple and easy.  I bet being around weddings all the time kind of makes you know what you do and do not want for your own wedding!!

The weather is finally turning nice here, thank goodness!!  Hope everyones planning is going well!

Wow.... sounds like summer, everyone is getting busy! I've been travelling to the city 5 hours away once a week every week for 3 weeks in a row. I leave again tomorrow and then again a week later for my dress shopping. I cannot believe in a week I am going to be going DRESS shopping!!!!!! As far as wedding stuff I have been too busy with 2 of my girlfriends weddings which are this summer. The first one is in a month and then another 3 weeks later. I don't plan on bringing any decor for the wedding, but our OOT Bags and Favors are going to take up a bit of room. I have already told all my family and friends from our area that I will be giving everyone a little something to pack in their bags to help us out. I do plan on using 3 bags... 1 for myself, fiance and our son. I am hoping to put fiance and son's stuff in 1 bag so I have a free bag for stuff. Fingers crossed it'll fit... I cannot believe I'm less than 8 months out, I remember it like yesterday that we just got in engaged and was 2 years ago!!!!! Happy planning everyone and hope everyone is enjoying some sunshine and summer!!!!

Hooray for 8 months! It is going by fast!

I've also had a slowdown in the wedding department.  Started talking to the W.C at Barcelo (I waited until I figured the crazy wedding season was done, and she responded really quickly).  Now I'm trying to decide things like what type of music do I want.

The package comes with a Violin player, a saxaphone player, or a keyboard and bass player.  What I'd really like is someone playing like Mexico guitar.  Lol.

So I'm kind of up in the air about that.

Also looking at menu options and all that.  Our R.S.V.P. date is coming up in about a month (we kind of picked an arbitrary date) as we sent out our invitations in February.  I'm thinking of sending out a reminder email with some additional information to everyone (who has responded yes, or hasn't responded at all).  Any thoughts?  Or should I send it out after the date has passed?

My T.A. made us a website, it is lacking some information, so I'm thinking of making a free one to add on more information. I think it would be fun to share that with everyone to, and maybe convince some of the people on the fence.  We're at 31 booked so far!

The weather has finally gotten nice here, I hope your summers are going well ladies!

Wow, that doesn't sound like much fun!!  I guess in the end it will all be worth it though!  But living out of a suitcase is horrible!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
